I spent hours and hours on tech support, uninstalling and reinstalling fonts and apps to no avail. Hopefully they come out with a patch in the next set of updates. It's as if editing some letters in a particular font has "ruined" that font on every other artboard.

Illustrator on iPad is not recognizing fonts installed from the Creative Cloud app on iPad. I install the font from Creative Cloud, check in Settings that the font is installed on the iPad. When selecting the font in Illustrator, the font will not change and will then appear blank in the tool palette. This started to happen after last update

Same thing is happening to me too. Just strayed in the last week.

Selected font family wont appear visually. It shows its in my library for use but when i select it it uses the preloaded font above it. Tried with other font families and its still now working.

I’m having the same issue! I couldn’t find any resolution or even similar scenarios online and I thought I was going crazy! I tried creating new text and only some of the words disappeared! After spending too much time trying to figure it out, I think it’s the font I was using. Every project with that font has the same issue but when I change the font, I can see every word.

In two artboards that contained text that I edited to a path, text boxes that I did NOT edit to a path disappeared--the group still exists in layers but it looks blank, and when I select it, the size of the selected area is not the size of the text that used to be there. Changing the color, opacity, cutting and pasting, nothing brings it back. The text boxes that contained text that I edited to a path are still there, however.

Montserrat thin, regular and bold font is not visible in new and existing documents. Other Montserrat thicknesses are visible font. The text is still present and selectable but can’t be seen no matter what appearance options I change. It doesn’t seem to be a problem with other font families. Perhaps this to do with the most recent update version 1.1 release on 08/12/2020? Illustrator has also hidden/lost the font from previously created documents as well.
