    We do not have any functionality with modifiers in brushes that is why it is hidden by default. This is expected behaviour.

    There has to be valid selection on the canvas for these options to be active. For example atleast 2 shapes to be selected for combine shape to be activated.

  3. Unable to input “inches" when transforming corners to curves. Only inputs “points” then converts to inches.

    You can try using Palm Rejection in Application Settings > Input > Apple Pencil

    This functionality is already there, you have to swipe right to left on the layers name in layers panel

    We already have support for external keyboard on iPad with limited shortcuts working right now.

    This is dependent upon the zoom level. If you are at higher zoom level you get better precision.

    Thank you all for reporting this issue and providing us your valuable feedback.

    What we have found out so far is that this issue can happen in multiple workflows. For clear tracking, validation and closure. We will closing this thread for given below two scenarios which we believe are fixed now:

    1)Double click any Ai file to launch Illustrator
    2)Placing files in Illustrator via Bridge.

    For two other scenarios that we know of that can cause this, we have created a separate thread :https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/39220189-ai-displays-the-start-screen-on-opening-the-file-a .If you are encountering the below mentioned issues with latest Version (24.0.1 on Mac and Win), then please vote on newly provided User voice thread and provide Test File via File→Package, Video and steps via dropping email at sharewithai@adobe.com along with this thread link so that we can identify and fix the root cause.

    You can start creating artboard outside of any artboard and the you can move it inside. You should raise it in feature requests.

    Hi,

    Please try the below steps and let us know if your issue is resolved or not.

    Windows:
    1. In task manager kill CCX process
    2. In run command type %appdata%
    3. Go to Adobe > CCX Welcome
    4. Delete data folder
    5. Go back in Adobe folder and delete Adobe Illustrator 23 folder
    6. Wait for 5 min or till CC process in restarted(you will see the process running in task manager)
    7. Launch Illustrator

    Mac :
    1. In activity monitor kill CCX process
    2. Go to folder ~/Library
    3. Delete Adobe Illustrator 23 folder from Application Support > Adobe
    4. Go back to ~/Library
    5. Delete data folder from Cache > Adobe
    6. Go back to ~/Library
    7. Delete Adobe Illustrator 23 folder from Preferences
    8. Wait for 5 min or till CC process in restarted(you will see the process running in activity monitor)
    9. Launch Illustrator again
    Verify if the issue is resolved or not. If the issue is not resolved please reach out to me at nitiagar@adobe.com

    Hi Andres,

    There is a way in Illustrator as well to always keep recent files empty.
    1. Press Ctrl/Cmd + K
    2. Go to File Handling and Clipboard
    3. Change the number of recent file in "Number of Recent Files to Display"

    On the other to customize Home screen, you can add a feature request.

    You can do cmd/ctrl + N, select print section and go to A4. You will find the A4 size in the unit you want.

    This is different from Align to Key Object. It was for Align to Artboard and that bug is fixed. Please start a new thread for 'Align to Key Object'.

    For easy deletion if artboards you can just select the artboards and hit delete button on the key board.

    The team again asks for help with this issue, since there are not specific steps they can try to reproduce it — the nature of the bug is random.


    If you are a Windows user, the next time you spot a missing or a duplicated number in Artboards panel, please follow these instructions below.


    1. Open Task Manager

    2. In Details tab, locate 'Illustrator.exe'

    3. Right click it and choose 'Create dump file'

    4. Wait until the dumping process is complete and click 'Open file location' button

    5. Find 'Illustrator.dmp' (sorting files by date helps) and compress it with any archiving utility

    6. Upload the archive to a file hosting service of your choice and sent the link for download to sharewithai@adobe.com. Please use the subject 'Artboards numbering bug dump'
