I found a solution to my problem. The tip on my Apple Pencil was loose. I tightened it, and the crashes stopped. I’ve been working for the last two hours without a crash!

This needs to be fixed asap

On a newly purchased 4th gen iPad Pro running on iPad OS 17.1... After downloading and redownloading, it cannot be fixed... Illustrator once opened, it crashes when I try to do anything on the program. Very disappointing. I've red it has something to do with iPad OS 17.1 being beta. Please, What can be done to fix this?

I recently purchased a new iPad Pro and I can no longer get the Ai app to work for me. It crashes constantly upon launch or shortly after selecting any tool. I did not have any of these issues before with my old iPad Pro on iOS 16. I loved the app and was in it almost every day prior to getting my new one. Please fix this as soon as possible!

App is crashing when I use the pencil to cut an image. Even when I hover over any icons on the right of the interface where align and font is located.

With the recent update as of late October 2023 to iPad iOS 17.1, it seems touching other than the main canvas will have the app crash. Selecting a brush, or pencil tool? Crash! Selecting ‘import an image’ or transform tool? Crash!

I know things happen but hopefully this can be fixed as I’m doing professional work on this and not being able to edit or export my work has me worried if I can depend on this app!

I have this problem too. I can draw on layers just fine but it crashes immediately if I try to select any tool with apple pencil. (iPad Pro gen 4 iPadOS 17.1)

My problem is similar. Using the Logitech Crayon, the app crashes when I use the pen to touch a menu item. It functions correctly in the editing window. Also, the app crashes in several scenarios when opened in a secondary display.

This has been affecting me too, the app works fine touch but with pencil it crashes instantly.

I have the same problem. When I open the app and use the Apple Pencil to navigate through menus it crashes immediately. This doesn't happen when I use my finger. I have an M2 iPad pro running iOS 17.1 (not a beta version).

Illustrator keeps crashing. I select the brush tool and it's fine until I want to change the brush. Does not allow me to look at the other art brushes. It immediately boots me out of illustrator every time I tap the brush selection.
