Move the undo button in split screen
During landscape split screen session the undo button lines up directly with the 3 dots for split screen options making it difficult to use the functions.

Enable transform tool to move elements by a specific measurement (Move Dialog)
I am a pattern designer and it would be so helpful if the Properties panel, you could type in a measurement into the transform tool, to make your elements move a specific amount that you designate. For example if I have an element on the left of my screen and I want to duplicate it and move it to the right to make a repeating pattern — let’s say I’m using an 8” screen size — it would be wonderful to add to the x or y numbers +8” or +4”, etc.
This would be a great feature for surface…

Control for number of points on a star
The star tool doesn't have the ability to change the number of points like the polygon tool does. if you could add your star and then add multiple points and adjust the "pointiness" like the desktop app that would be good.

Colour Picker Gesture like in Procreate
Please make a Colour Picker Finger Gesture like in Procreate! At the moment its way too hard and fiddly to pick colours from the artboard.
- Press and hold down with your finger where you want to pull the color from.
- You'll see a circle take on your color.
- Wait for the color to appear in the color selection tool in the top-right corner of the screen.
- You now have access to the selected color.

To be able to create a new path off another path when using the pen tool like you can on pc
I normally link paths up while doing my art, expand and then use live paint mode on my Mac but can’t on the iPad. Would be awesome to be able to do this ! Example below to hopefully help this make sense

Long press delay to delete point is too short
When using the direct selection or pen tool to move points the point is deleted too soon if the apple pencil is used to select it. Long press is supposed to delete the point but this happens if you hold the pencil on the point for a very short time. Please add a longer delay or even better allow the user to set the delay in preferences.

Once after you add the necessary basic tools I would like to see that included,because it will be a big difference maker with your competitor affinity + it’s the reason why I want to use illustrator on my iPad and not buy a new PC

Allow pencil to retrace a shape instead of creating a new one
Right now when I want to edit a shape I've drawn w/ the pencil tool I have to use the anchor edit tool. Can you make it so I can just retrace the shape in a certain area by drawing over an anchor point similar to how it is in the desktop application?

Knife / Slice & Scissor tools
Available under the “erase” tool just as they are on the desktop. Or make a shortcut key to erase in straight lines, currently there isn’t an easy way to break paths.

Erase up to intersection (Paths)
Illustrator on Ipad and the normal one really needs a tool to erase to intersection, like for example Clip studio has. It has a few workarounds, but this should just be a feature, not something to work around.
Erase up to intersection should be a simple tool/or a feature you can activate on the normal eraser, so you can just touch the lines you want to cut and they will be erased up to the closest path it connects too.

Add all the tools from the desktop apps to the iPad
Just want all the tools y’all have on the PC on the iPad so us people that use iPads for school work would help us a lot.

Greater control over direction handles
There doesn’t seem to be a functionality for using direction handles to modify sharp angles on a line. This would be very helpful for limiting how many points it takes to draw certain shapes!

Spiral Tool Preview Checkbox
Outside of using the default values for the Spiral tool, it's always been difficult to get real precision with respect to altering the decay while dragging and holding CMD / CNTRL. It would be super flexible if the tool had a Preview check box. Turning it on would generate a wireframe of the shape with the default values. Then we could try different settings to get the shape we want and then click Ok to produce the shape.
