1. Reference Points for transformations.

   Please can we have Reference Points in the Transform tool section like in desktop illustrator?

   They offer much greater control and repeatability in comparison to black box tools like “Distribute”.

4. option to import select pages from PDF in Illustrator for iPad in the current version.

   I work doing graphics for a big chapter manuals, I buy my ipad with the idea of have a tool to work when I am travel or out of home.
   In the desktop version , I have the option (PDF IMPORT OPTIONS) . This option let me pick the page I need from the chapter I'm working . I will love to have this option in my ipad pro.

6. Full Functionality of Pen tool

   I think it would be nice to have full functionality of the pen tool. When I make a shape and click divide, it works but then when I merge shapes together, it’s not completely merged especially when I use the ungroup feature. It is very frustrating as it makes the pen tool a little confusing to use. You can see in the attached photo where i made two circles & divided the shape. I separated one of new shapes and then merged what I didn’t separate. With the new shape I made, I hit ungroup and then it becomes completely dived again. I may not use AI too much until this is figured out but I do love the app. You can see when the shape is selected, it is still divided and not merged. I rely heavily on this function with my vector work and it allows me to work a bit more efficiently on the computer. Would love to see it on the iPad version.

9. Flow and smoothing like in photoshop for the ipad

   Would be great if you could add these two tools for the pencil tool !
   Also when I use the pencil tool, the endings are always sharp and way too edgy and I have to change them to the round ones. Could you give the option to choose what kind of stroke (edgy or round and smooth) you want to draw with from ahead please?

10. Better saving options.

    I was working on a project for school, exited and all the process was gone. Before it did save but when I was done and exited again it was gone. I worked on it again and this time I exported it as a cloud document and a jpeg, guess what happens again? The process is all lost.

12. Recreate gestures to replace touch “button” when using Apple Pencil

    Instead of having a physical touch button to mimic alt and shift, maybe draw inspiration from iPad only apps like Procreate to make the iPad Illustrator as useful as the desktop version.

    Couple of ideas:
    1. Decrease the affect palm movements have when using Apple pencil, and only respond to gestures and menu-taps when using Apple Pencil.

    1. Make it an option to use the physical gesture button or not.
       2.a When not using a pencil it could be useful
       2.b When using pencil, using finger gestures instead of a button would give more and quicker options.

    2. You can make it so holding down one or two fingers anywhere on screen does the same thing as either alt or shift like on Desktop

    3. Use gestures for quick acces to menu or tool options.
       4.a For example slowly swiping down with 3 fingers could mean picking different tools like pencil tool or selection.
       4.b make toolbar customisable

    Then some other small things

    1. Fix the shape builder tool so it works more like the Desktop version.

    2. More recolour options like when using shape builder on Desktop.
       6.a Add a drag and drop function for colour when in selection tool for quicker colouring

    3. Make use of the top left bar for more features.

    4. Make a gesture shortcut for colour picker tool like pressing down with pencil

13. Even space a segmented line & diagonal dash segmented line

    I need to create stitch line for leather work patterns. However when I segment a line into the required stitch spacing, the dots aren’t evenly spaced around radius corners. I’d like to be able to evenly space these stitch holes along the entire length. It would also be great to be able to segment a line into repeated dash diagonals

15. CC Libraries character/paragraph styles

    It was great if also character and paragraph styles of cc libraries were supported. This is the only thing at the moment preventing me from working on the iPad only.

16. Direct selection tool

    Would be awesome if you could use the touch ring already before selecting objects in a group to pick individual objects..Now I just move the objects a tiny bit every time when I double click.. Annoying.
