3. Bring hidden palette to front, when chosen in menu

   Great that Ai shows where a chosen palette is hidden. But... what about bringing it to front?

4. an airbrush effect would be great

   an airbrush and/or feathering option. and the more you can put into single buttons would be great. again, look at Inkpad app…. they did an excellent job at making it very easy to add drop shadows, etc.

5. Add swedish language to illustrator iPad, please

   I would really appreciate Swedish language support in Illustrator for iPad. Many creative professionals and students in Sweden use the app, and having it in our native language would make the workflow smoother and more accessible. Please consider adding Swedish in a future update.

6. Relinking images from the images on my iPad and not just from adobe cloud

   I saved my files in the cloud and planned to continue on my iPad and I realized I forgot to embed the images. I tried relinking them and it was taking me to adobe cloud. I don’t save images on adobe cloud the images were a lot and I had them on my iPad files/gallery. It sucks that I couldn’t sort that.

7. Reverse compatibility between IPad and desktop files, currently I can export from iPad to desktop. But desktop Ai files don’t export to iPad

   Making it so that I can move my work seamlessly between my iPad and my desktop. iPad Air has some great features I cannot recreate on my desktop and vice versa. The one way compatibility is stunting my workflow and makes it impossible to have a positive workflow between the two.

8. Swap seamlessly between desktop and iPad - for hand drawing path sections with pencil tool

   I work 95% desktop, but sometimes I just cant draw a curve or shape properly with a mouse. It would love a quick export button to my ipad where I can quickly REDRAW lines and curvatures with the pencil tool, then export back to desktop. This would act somewhat like me plugging in a wacom, but so much better because the ipad is so much more capable.

   The pencil tool in ipad currently does not support redrawing section of a path to get the curvature right - that needs to be fixed as a priority, since this is one of my top used desktop tools.

9. Sync desktop profiles with iPad

   Integrate desktop profile to include ICC selection for iPad. Spent a frustrating day troubleshooting what I thought was my printer having issues. In reality anything drawn on iPad was not correcting to the desktop ICC requiring redrawing hours of work for a short deadline task.

    Yo can disable this behavior, toggling the 'Fill New Type Object With Placeholder Text' in Preferences > Type.

    These are all ideas for better interaction to add to the right-hand panel. I think it should be more visible and accessible when working. Currently, they feel limited.

    1)))) The Artboards button should be on the right, above the Layers button.

    Justification: Artboards are a central component of the Illustrator workflow, as users often switch between them to organize complex projects. Currently, access to artboards is somewhat relegated (in the top bar or in secondary menus), which can disrupt the creative flow. Placing this button in the right-hand panel, above the Layers button, improves its visibility and accessibility, as the right panel is a constant area of ​​interaction. Additionally, placing it above the Layers button reflects the natural hierarchy of the workflow: first, you select the artboard, then you manage the layers within it.

    Benefit: Reduces the clicks needed to navigate between artboards, streamlines the organization process, and improves ergonomics by keeping key tools in one predictable place.

    2)))) The Document Settings button should be on the right, above the Artboards button. And in this section, you should have direct access to changing: Name, Unit, Color settings, etc.

    Justification: Document settings (such as name, units of measurement, or color mode) are critical settings that users frequently need to adjust, especially when starting a project or adapting it to different requirements (e.g., switching from RGB to CMYK for printing). Currently, these settings are buried in secondary menus, which can be frustrating. Placing a dedicated button in the right-hand panel, above Artboards, ensures these settings are accessible without interrupting the workflow. Including shortcuts to the name, unit, and color settings in this section optimizes real-time document customization.

    Benefit: Simplifies initial setup and on-the-fly adjustments, especially for users working on projects with specific technical requirements (such as design for print or web).

    3)))) I would also place the Publish and Export button on the right, and I think it should be able to quickly export in the following formats: AI, SVG, PDF, and PNG. These are the most popular formats in Illustrator.

    Justification: Exporting is one of the most common final tasks in Illustrator, and AI, SVG, PDF, and PNG formats cover most use cases (editable files, vector graphics for the web, printable documents, and raster images for social media). Currently, the export process requires navigating through multiple menus, which can be tedious, especially for users who export frequently. A dedicated button in the right panel, with quick options for these formats, significantly reduces the time and effort required. Furthermore, the right panel is a logical place for this feature, as users already associate it with project management and completion tools.

    Benefit: Streamlines the export process, improves efficiency for repetitive workflows, and meets the needs of professional users working with multiple formats.

19. Baseline shift, or sub/superscript, SOMETHING for ipad please?

    I’m creating woodworking plans and in a lot of cases that involves writing out fractions rather than converting to decimal. But on the ipad there is apparently zero functionality for adjusting baseline shift or for formatting characters as subscript or superscript. If I want to differentiate them from the surrounding text right now it involves adding a big space in the text on one layer, then creating a whole new layer and manually placing/arranging smaller characters to replicate the look.

20. Adobe, we need full pro support for mouse, zoom, and keyboard shortcuts on iPad Illustrator!

    Hey Adobe team,

    I’m writing here after what feels like a decade of waiting for the iPad to become a true pro tool for design work. When Illustrator finally came to iPad, I thought, finally – this is it. But there’s a huge issue holding everything back: the lack of proper support for mouse, zoom, and keyboard shortcuts.

    It’s honestly mind-blowing. Why would you allow mouse and keyboard connections but leave out essential features like zooming with the mouse and supporting standard desktop shortcuts? The constant need to take my hands off the mouse or keyboard just to zoom or pan – it destroys any workflow. Creative work relies on a smooth, uninterrupted flow, and every time I have to switch to touch, it’s like hitting a speed bump.

    For those of us who are used to working in full-screen mode with everything going through shortcuts, this constant back-and-forth kills productivity. It’s the difference between being in the zone and getting totally frustrated.

    The iPad version of Illustrator is so close to being a game-changer. But until it offers proper, seamless mouse and keyboard functionality, it’s tough to rely on it for serious work. Even though I’d love to.

    Is there any chance we can see an update that adds full mouse/keyboard support soon? This seems like such an obvious upgrade and would make a world of difference for those of us who’ve been waiting years to work on iPad with the same pro efficiency we have on desktop.
