Ability to Open Multiple Documents to Copy & Paste Between Them
I have various assets I've created and I often want to copy part of one over to something new I'm creating, and yet I can't open multiple documents to be able to copy and paste between them. For example, I want to use a portion of a graphic in another new graphic I'm creating, and I want to open the existing one, ungroup the items, select the part I want and copy and paste it over into the new document. I can paste the original item, but it pulls in grouped together as one image so I can't grab just…

Make Illustrator for iPad and Adobe Library more pattern-friendly
Editing and scaling patterns on the iPad is nearly impossible. Ist would be great if the options would be similar as in the desktop version, where scaling, editing, changing the colour of patterns etc. is with the swatches easily done.
Also if patterns could be saved to the adobe library it would simplify the working process immensely.11 votes -
Pen line options
It appears that the blob brush for Illustrator on the iPad has different stroke options (chisel, flat, round, etc.), whereas the pen tool only has a uniform line option at this time.
Please add the different pen stroke types for the iPad! It was such a useful tool and allowed for great line variation!11 votes -
Send to back / bring to front option
It takes forever to organize paths by dragging the bar

Measure length of paths
I use Illustrator for landscape design. Using IPad for real-time designing in the field would really be an improvement. It would really be helpful to have a measurement tool or to see the length in the properties tab. The properties tab now only shows W, H, X, Y. Showing the length of a line would help!

Swipe to select
Being able to let touch-input (swipes) automatically switch it over to the selection tool, and have the use of the Apple Pencil always change it back to the previous tool.

Ability to install purchased or custom made brushes
We need the ability to import custom made or purchased brushes directly into the iPad brush tool. This is a major issue and would solve several other issues I have with the iPad version of the software.

Make Recent Color section as in Photoshop
It would be nice to have a thing similar to Photoshop strip of recently used colors, with an ability to quickly convert one or several into proper swatches.
Probably a function that just add all used color into swatches automatically can be useful also, with a clear signaling it is active, to prevent accidental swatches bloating.10 votes -
Photoshop Effects
When I add Photoshop Effects on Mac and then open the file on iPad I can't edit them or add them. If I move an object with an effect on it the effect goes away and won't come back even if you hit undo. I have accidentally moved an object and it lost the effect so I have to wait till I can go on my Mac to fix it.

Incremental nudge
The ability to nudge objects in any direction incrementally would be helpful to adjust the spacing accurately between objects, similar to using the cursor keys in the desktop version

Please continue adding mouse/keyboard commands from the desktop version
I’m loving where this is going... However, as a long-time illustrator user, I’m hoping more can be added to match the desktop version’s drawing speed.
I’m missing these keyboard shortcuts:
• Zoom in/zoom out keyboard command with the mouse click.
• The ‘Bring to front/Send to back” keyboard command.
• The “join points/average points” key command (cmnd-j)And while I love the ‘move point along line’ feature, by using the option key to enact it, we can’t change a corner-pull point as we can with the desktop version.

Import AI files directly from desktop version to IpadOS version
I want to work on the same AI file that I made on the desktop Adobe Illustrator on my IPAD. Currently, there is no cross-compatibility and I cannot import my .AI files. If there is, the compatibilty needs to be more noticable and import needs to be easier.

We need good export options
Not just more options, but the final size of the document, the quality, the color setting. I can’t count on a computer all the time, and when I export a pdf from Ipad Illustrator it’s way bigger than I need it, something that can have 250kb ends up exporting at 15MB. I literally have to export my document in AI format and then go to AFFINITY DESIGNER FOR IPAD if I want to have PROFESSIONAL exportation settings.
