  1. Load swatches and a swatch palette

    The ability to use swatch palettes is important to the workflow when doing work for clients who want specific colors. The current option is tedious when you need to load a swatch palette of multiple colors. Also the swatch palette should be as easy to access as it on desktop.

  2. Add pointy edge pencil stroke please

    I am a fashion designer who use illustrator program alot.
    I do all the fashion technical sketches with this app. Prob most of the desginers will do.
    Please add pointy edge pencil stroke.
    The program will be improved if I can have pointy edge stroke on pencil, so I can draw detailed sketches in ipad illustrator.

    Also the program freeze and turning off itself. Please also fix this issue

  3. Live Mirror

    I would like to be able to select mirror before I draw. Then see the result as I draw. Right now, it only shows the mirror after I stop drawing.

  4. Include all free form gradient options and gradient meshes from the desktop version.

    Having only point–based free form gradients is far to restrictive. We should at least be able to use free form line gradients and gradient meshes.

  5. Add a Task Note Widget

    As the workflow grows, we tend to move from project to project as creative work expand. Sometimes we start a project but move to the next and go back to it and don’t remember the aim. So it would be amazing to write a note and add tasks to do while going through the document

  6. Import from Libraries like Draw to get Capture Shapes

    Currently the Illustrator app cannot import Capture shapes which save to Libraries, but Adobe Draw can. This makes no sense. Please don't limit Illustrator app to importing Cloud Documents.

  7. Add link to Microsoft OneDrive.

    I keep all my files in One Drive. Please add a link to this drive so we can use iPad illustrator on the go!

  9. Start a new line by clicking on the pen tool and/or support deselect with Apple Pencil 1

    Thank you for bringing Illustrator to the iPad! I've been drawing with Illustrator since AI 3, happy to see it mobile so I can draw on the go.

    I love the pen tool, but I want to draw more than one line with it. Normally I would deselect a line to start the next one, but my Apple Pencil 1 does not support a double tap (to deselect), and tapping twice in rapid succession doesn't seem to be the same as a double tap. It seems like it should, but I can't get it to work.

  11. Reference Points for transformations.

    Please can we have Reference Points in the Transform tool section like in desktop illustrator?

    They offer much greater control and repeatability in comparison to black box tools like “Distribute”.

  12. Attach nodes easily and lines control by clicks (touching the lines)

    The nodes end should be easily snap together.

    For now, I have trouble snapping the node ends.

    It should be a click away. Click, drag and snap.

    Then the line control. With powerful apple pen, it should be easy to edit or adjusting the lines, yes, other than nodes, playing around with the curve using pen should be easier than more options/popups and clicks.

    Make the learning curve shorter a few clicks.

  14. Export directly to Illustrator Desktop, like in the Draw app

    I thought it would be a natural thing to include the export function to illustrator Desktop via Adobe Cloud, and it would be nice to import from the cloud too.

    Add control to alter position of repeats with some controllable of random position shift for each repeated element, controls for x,y and or radius and rotation.

  16. Precise Text Size and Spacing Slider

    A more snappy unit for text size and line spacing adjustment slider.
    It is difficult to get a precise clean number with the current slider.
    For example when I wanted to change a text size from 30 to 40 with the slider, it always ended up with numbers such ash 40.73 or 40.28
    A more snappier slider that only move to round numbers or .5 increments would be easier to use.

  18. Swatches and eye dropper tool

    I would like to see an eye dropper tool and the swatches panel in Illustrator for iPad. The eye dropper tool would be useful for selecting colors in a photo and applying those colors to a shape. The swatches panel would be useful for selecting textures and previous colors that were used.

  20. Please support iPad Pencil rotation / Barrel Roll

    Why isn't pen rotation enabled in Illustrator for iPad? The Apple Pencil Pro 2024 has the ability to detect pen angle, but Illustrator still doesn't detect pen rotation. For example, Procreate has this feature enabled.
    Please enable iPad barrel roll illustrator in Illustrator.
