An error occurred while saving the comment Belinda, just in case you still have the file and it still behaves like this — can you share it here?

An error occurred while saving the comment Do you still have a problem like this?
If yes — when this happens, what does the title/tab of a document say?
If no — please comment anyway. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Ana, you should be able to move graphic decals separately across the generated surface separately... something is wrong then. Please record a short video to show how it behaves for you.

An error occurred while saving the comment Well, technically the description still fits. It doesn’t mention the brush tip shape, and it doesn’t get affected by the option.
But you are correct — there was a time the tip wasn’t displayed in any mode. It’s not there in CS6... but it is there in early CC builds, so it happened sometimes in-between.
I think it should be just a separate 'Don’t display brush tip shape', somewhere in Preferences or Paintbrush Tool Options. An error occurred while saving the comment Use Precise Cursors option doesn’t remove the brush tip shape you are seeing. It can be circular or elliptical and stays there for any calligraphic brush. There is no option to disable it.
Do you mean this, or do you mean the 'ghost' of the tip shape stays on canvas even though you are using a non-calligraphic brush (art brush, scatter, pattern ones)?
You say it used to different? Are you sure? Can you name the specific build it started, or is it just an assumption?
Please help to figure this out.

An error occurred while saving the comment Recently the team has introduced a way to 'bake' the outlines of the fonts used in a document, if these are missing on another computer. Ai would show them as they were meant to look, until one tries to edit a text that uses it.
This should work when pasted in Ps as a smart object... strange it does not! Can you please share a test file here, just to make sure it’s not file-specific, for the team to investigate? -

An error occurred while saving the comment I wonder what happens if only the background gets exported...
Anyway, hard to tell anything without a test file and the EPS export options chosen shared.
If you still want to investigate it — please share. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Or, this is a lost report!
These fills definitely have Overprint enabled for them in Attributes panel — but with no test file attached it’s impossible to prove.
So sad it’s been 7 years already since the problem :( I doubt it’s a problem anymore. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I see, I got it completely wrong.
You meant outlining fonts.
While the team behind PDF believes live fonts in a PDF are totally OK if the PDF doesn’t get imported into Ai, we still have to import these, to make changes without original files at our hands. That’s why this, based on this request — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/31840996 — the team added a way to 'bake' the outlines with live text, so when a font is not present, displayed outlines still stay correct.
This is a new option, exists in builds since 29.3, requires checking an option on saving, and also tries to automatically extract outlines from PDF data (if present within a file), wen a file was saved with an older version of Ai.Still, your request (to automatically outline fonts on PDF export) seems to be the exact copy of an existing one: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33253699
Do you mind me merging yours into it?An error occurred while saving the comment Can you please tell more about this? Which one do you mean exactly? Opened fill paths or something else? Share a file if possible and some details on the problem happening when printing. What format is used to prepare a file? What settings get used?

An error occurred while saving the comment Odd... it works for me in 29.6..1, but on Windows, both with Direct Selection with a segment and Selection with Cmd/Ctrl + Shift.
Here’s a test file along with my Smart Guides settings.
Please help to investigate it further. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I wonder if this happens only with images scaled? Or with any object at all?
Please tell more. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Pawel, Ai got the Search panel with filtering options in build 2023 (27.7)
Are you seeing these? What build are you using?
There isn’t an option to filter by a layer’s color though... -

An error occurred while saving the comment I totally agree these should be in grayscale... but when I check (in Beta), the images (linked or embedded, with or without alpha) are fine!
Perhaps it differs on Mac only? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Pawel, interesting...
I had no idea some would need these to be toggled often!
As a workaround, since you are on Windows, you can try to use accessibility keys: Shift+O, Enter would open the dialog, and then you’d have to hold Alt and tap M, I, S, to toggle each option.
This can be automated with Autohotkey (an indispensable tool for those who need to work fast on Windows).
This is normal and always was the way AI antialias paths. Treat is as ink spread.
