Same issue here — CC Libraries panel will open to a library and then get "stuck" on that library, not allowing you to back out to the main library list, or scroll up or down. Only way to bypass this issue it is to quit the app and restart it. I sometimes need to do this multiple times a day when switching between different libraries through out the workday. Running 2026 apps.

Thanks for your question Egor! Correct, Ai does revert to default after a while, after both closing normally or crashing.

Use 'Save a copy' command instead of 'Save as', it does exactly what you want.

Currently, saving a PDF from Illustrator keeps the saved PDF open in Illustrator. If you edit the file that is still open, you're editing the PDF and not the native Illustrator file. It is difficult to see that you're working in PDF other than just remembering that Illustrator does this (when other Adobe apps do not), and/or to look at the extension on the file tab.
Feature request is to change this function so that Illustrator remains open in the same Illustrator file format instead of switching to working in the saved PDF via Illustrator. This would be similar to InDesign's function of saving PDF, where saving a PDF just saves a PDF copy out of InDesign, and you remain in the native InDesign file. Thanks!

This functionality has been released with v30.0. You can also double-click the name and rename the artboard directly on canvas.
You can disable this in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display, with Show Artboard name on canvas option.

Display artboard names above artboards (in standard view, not while editing artboards) similar to XD.
May be useful to allow artboard name editing similar to XD as well; double-click the artboard name to rename, instead of following a path to "edit artboards" or using the artboard panel.

The Illustrator links panel should have a "relink all instances" option just like InDesign, to relink an image JUST ONCE for multiple instances of the same link in one document.

Currently "Create PDF Compatible File" is only available to turn on and off when saving an Illustrator file in the dialog after save location dialog.
Proposition to also include this option in the preferences panel so that it can be "always off" or "always on" as a preference, while still keeping it in the save dialog in case a specific file needs the option turned on or off.
Example of use-case: our agency style workflow has a lot of files flowing through with many different designers working. As a baseline, we always turn "Create PDF Compatible File" off to trim down file sizes and processing times. It is currently an extra step that we have to remember to do upon saving in our quick workflow. If we had the ability to turn it off in preferences so it is always off, that would save us that extra step in our daily workflow with every file.
Thanks!
