    I agree with this - the gradient color selection tool is a miserable experience compared to the "regular" color picker tool (the window that opens when one double clicks on fill or stroke). I don't understand what justifies a completely different color selection tool for gradient steps versus stroke or fill...

    Voting this up! I can't understand why this wouldn't be implemented already. What can be the downside of having more features and being able to go faster when working. Adding a screenshot to make the case obvious that rotating, aligning, flipping, scaling, changing transparency or adding effects shouldn't be buried in menus and panels.

    I generally will go into InDesign on frequent occasions to create graphical elements, and then copy/paste them into Illustrator if the workflow is faster this way...

    There are now several separate requests made, based on the feedback in this thread:

    1. Regarding adjustable color and opacity for 3D shadows:

    All those who commented on the topic until October 16, 2023, are already added as voters there. If this is something you want to have for 3D and Materials in Illustrator — please upvote it. If possible — create new requests and bug reports about 3D, rather than commenting here inside. This will help the team to better prioritize efforts on making the feature better.
