    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

    Hi Francis,

    Thanks a lot for reporting the issue you see. I'd like to understand more about your export process. When you export to SVG, do you use File > Save As or do you use File > Export > Export As / Export For Screens / Asset Export?

    I could not reproduce the issue with the file you uploaded with the Export As route. Could you try this and post what you see then?

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks a lot for adding your request to uservoice. To understand the issue more, could you please elaborate more on you workflow? How do you export SVG files? Do you use File > Export as... File > Save as... or Export assets? Do you export artboards?

    For this example I added a couple of colors to a swatch book. In the document itself I just used the colors with the custom name: "Circle background" and "Circle foreground".

    Adding the entire swatch book doesn't seem to be meaningful in the majority of use cases. Would you disagree?

    The issue with exporting custom properties is the limited scope of this features. At this point, only Web browsers do support custom properties and no authoring tool. This seems to be limiting for the round-tripping experience of customers initially.

    Hi Alec, could you please try if the latest release of Illustrator fixed the crashes? If not, could you please share example files that crash Illustrator? A crash is the worst experience for a user and has the highest priority.

    Thanks Alec! I logged your feature request. I agree that it is annoying if SVG content on the clipboard gets pasted as text instead of displaying it as art.
