We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.

Can you please verify this problem does not occur anymore in the latest Illustrator builds?

Thank you for reporting the issue.This is Under review.
We are able to reproduce this issue in house.
I would request you to use the below steps and see if this resolves your issue as a workaround:
Step1: Press Escape,Spacebar or Enter Return to dismiss the dialog.
Step 2: Set cursor in field, type 0, then use dropdown to choose Auto.Regards

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our release – 23.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Thanks for raising your concern. By looking at the video it seems you have selected the " Search First Word Only" in the font list menu and it is working as designed.
I would request you to try the " Search Entire Font Name" by clicking at the magnifier glass image drop down in the font menu & select the "Search Entire Font Name" and see if this resolves your issue as a workaround.

Thanks for raising your concerns. Can you please share a screen recording of the issue happening and also the Packaged file via Open the file with which you are facing issue Menu->File->Package on sharewithai@adobe.com . It will Help us to reproduce the issue in house.

Hi,
This is under review.This is intended change in Illustrator version 2018 22.0.0 ,meant to be consistent with other adobe application like Indesign.
I would request you to access the other font name instances in the same Font family kindly expand the font group.
