This was fixed in the beta version of the Illustrator update but now that I have updated to the release from March 12th 2018 the feature is gone AGAIN! Please fix this asap - it's very important for production.

This was fixed in Beta - and then there was an update and it went away again.
In the print business, I find that even the italics is hard to see. Could you go bigger and make the nonprinting layers even more apparent. Maybe the whole layer turns a different shade of gray or the type is changed in a more dramatic way so it is very easy to see at a quick glance which layers are turned on to print and which are not.

Layers used to be marked in italics when not a printable layer. Now there is no markings or indications of which layers print.

Try to test this by opening a new document & drawing a box. In the Transform Palette start playing around with the location or size of the box with big changes in size or placement. It randomly happens to me when I am Tabbing though from w to h or from x to y. Sometimes the info palette reads what you typed but clearly doesn't change the size of location of the art box.

I type a number into the Transform Pane thinking it changed the size of the item I selected and it reads what I typed but clearly hasn't changed the size. Refreshing the selection reads as if it I hadn't typed the new size. ARRG.
The fact that I have to double triple check all the numbers I type in is ridiculous. Slowing production time and could potentially ruin orders.
This could cost us huge in production errors if this doesn't get fixed asap!

As you probably know, Illustrator today allows to change this behavior with a dedicated option in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display section.

However, it’s not that accessible, especially when you are already move and copy your artboards.

If you wish this option to be more exposed, consider upvoting this request: Display Move Locked and Hidden Artwork with Artboard option in Control panel and Properties while using Artboard tool / mode

I used to be able to copy an artboard and have the "Move/Copy Artwork with Artboard" button clicked and it would only move the art on the layers I had selected as visible in the layers palette. Now it moves everything whether I have it visible or not. I end up copying and then going back to the layers palette and locking the art I want to keep and then deleting from the layers I didn't want to copy in the first place.
