    I'm also having this kind of "feature" in Illustrator CC 2020 (24.0.1) on Windows 10.
    I don't know but recently I'm having a headache over Illustrator "features" that doesn't let me do the simple basic task such as selecting objects.
    I'm hoping that in the future release they remove these "features".

    Radial, Mirror, Grid Repeat objects are available in the latest desktop versions, 25.1 and higher.
    There are some improvements still to be made, and the team is aware of some of them.
    Please search for the related requests here on UserVoice forums or add new ones if you can’t find a suitable one.

    this is a powerful feature in XD that I hope exist in Illustrator. This is extremely useful when building design layouts.

    You can now select multiple layers in Layers panel. Click the bars (they get highlighted blue) if you want to operate layers and not their content (e.g. to drag to reorder) or click their markers to select their content — circle (target ones) or square (selection ones) next to them. There is no real difference which to pick, but if you want to select a range of layers, using Shift, use target markers.

    some font not loading properly into illustrator causing some font or font weight/style can't be chosen (it can be if using the pick tool though, but that's not the point here)
