Select more than one layer at once
Okay if you have more than one layer...let's say 50 and I need to select 20 of them. Why can't someone select them with a single click instead of selecting every single layer? With shift selected I can mark more than one but they aren't selected. Same thing for sublayers and so on.

You can now select multiple layers in Layers panel. Click the bars (they get highlighted blue) if you want to operate layers and not their content (e.g. to drag to reorder) or click their markers to select their content — circle (target ones) or square (selection ones) next to them. There is no real difference which to pick, but if you want to select a range of layers, using Shift, use target markers.

THIS HAS BEEN FIXED.
Make sure you're running the latest version of Illustrator (latest is v25.0) You can find what version you're running by opening Illustrator & going to Help > About Illustrator
See attached images. Select one layer target and then another layer target and it will select all targets in-between. Prior to this fix you had to select them individually, you couldn't Shift select multiple in one go.
If you continue to have problems, or have a different problem entirely reach out to Adobe. They no longer monitor this thread.

Select multiple layers at once, no more clicking one at a time. I know that others have already suggested this, as I have, but you've still done absolutely nothing to address this issue. It seems like such a no-brainer, which has me doubting the abilities and intelligence of everyone involved in designing Illustrator. Seriously, this literally wastes hours of my time every year. It is one of the big reasons why I refuse to recommend Illustrator to anyone, even though I'm currently forced to use it. Fix it already.

Hello Adobe! Please fix. I've been in contact with your support teams and they have just told me to make new tickets regarding this even though this one has 238 votes on it already. Or they will tell me things like, "We appreciate your feedback but don't respond to individual bug/feature requests" or some other copy/paste response.
As paying customers can you please provide us with an update or some transparency on a timeline of this backlog or if it's fallen through the cracks?

I think as customers we need to ask for a road map from Adobe. If I use a subscription I want to know what am I paying for? What are Adobe's future plans for new features, bug fixes, stability and performance

Still hoping this can get fixed since the ADMINS said they would add it back in 2017. Clearly I'm not the only one to have issue with this
