Dragging functionality on the Character panel is missing into Illustrator as it is in Photoshop

some font not loading properly into illustrator causing some font or font weight/style can't be chosen (it can be if using the pick tool though, but that's not the point here)

holy cow - what happened to my fonts? All my fonts render like someone took a hacksaw to each letter. Is there a way to go back to 2017?

New character panel causing my adobe AI to crash. Also having issues adjusting the size of my text box with the new update!

Need help, how to uninstall Illustrator CC 2018 and get back 2017. Fonts not working, am on deadline.

I am working on a trilingual document and the extended character set of most fonts areno longer available since the 2018 CC upgrade. For example "Protección™", the "ó" and"™" are not available, yet they are in InDesign. Please show me what I am doing wrong, because my Glyph Pallette is set to "Entire Font". I was Using the new variable "Acumin" but have encountered this in many OpenType Fonts.

I have also fallen victim to the crashing character panel. I literally cannot work in the program because I can't choose a font. Please send an update to fix this!

I agree. The Character bar worked fine before. Now it just sucks and makes time spent on projects because you have to scroll through the entire font library each and every time. I hate this new feature!!! Go back to the original!!!!

I'm having the same font issues and now its causing my program to crash. I second the original post, "Can't work like that.."

When I click type tool lore ipsim pops up and it doesn't allow me to change fonts(scroll) and find other fonts. I have a project for client due today and this issue is preventing me from finishing. This problem just started happening last nite 1/14/18 bit was working fine the previous day 1/13/18.

Please let me know what I can do!?

Adobe team, can you fix this problem? Why does the box have to be so **** small? Why does my "Find Font" render like Eduardo Moura is showing? Why can't I resize the box?

It wasn't like this before CC. The Adobe team broke what wasn't broken!!!

Can you make an update without making everything worse? Stop trying to be cute/stylish and make it functional! Above all the font finder should work!! You should be able to maybe read the fonts and not have the box so **** small with no way to resize it!!!???

Can you see the characters in CPU Preview? Or they disappear only in the GPU Preview.
