Add copy/apply choice to Offset Path Most of the time, when using the Object > Path > Offset Path tool, I need to replace the original path, rather than add an offset copy of it. Currently, this requires me to offset the path (often multiple at once) and then delete the existing paths.
It would be much easier if Offset Path offered the same choice of "OK"(Apply and replace original path) and "Copy" as the transform tools.

the touch gestures controls need and option to mirror the touch gestures for photoshop Touch gestures in illustrator just feel terrible compared to the touch gestures in photoshop. I paint a lot in photoshop and it's never been an issue to pan zoom rotate ect, but every time I switch over to illustrator it just feels buggy. Half the time i try to pan it will either right click, or move an object i didn't want to select, and it only lets you do one action per touch when i can pan and zoom simultaneously in photoshop. plus the 2 finger double tap to reset canvas view seems to be missing from illustator as…

Ability to enlarge thumbnails in PLACE dialog box. When I invoke the PLACE command, I have not found a way to control the size of thumbnails shown and can't find what I need. I often have 30 jpgs and at the size they are I literally cannot see them well enough to find the one I want to place. Am I missing something?

Customize Illustrator At this moment it's a painful story to change the default graphic style or font. Especially if you have to work with certain design guidelines it would be easier to have a workspace that features the right colors, fonts, etc on default. Please try to figure out how to make this easier for us.

Launch Illustrator with the same opened documents tabs from closing I would add this option that would basically skip the home screen and launch straight into the last open documents from the last time I closed the app.
This is very convenient instead of clicking through each document from the home screen.I guess this could also just become the main behaviour for closing Ai so if you instead want to get rid of all the open tabs you could right click on one and click "close all tabs"

More flexible measurements In InDesign, I can type in p9 in a size dialogue box, and the app knows that I mean 0 picas and 9 points.
In Illustrator, if I try typing in p9, I get an peep. I have to type in 0p9 to get 0 picas and 9 points.
Seemingly minor, but shouldn't all apps accept the same measurements? I keep being hung up on that when I switch from Illustrator to InDesign. You want to help create a seamless workflow? Please do this.

Warn of locked and hidden items when saving or selecting all and trying to move the selection. Receive a warning if trying to save a file that has hidden objects. Warn when selecting all and then trying to move selection that elements are locked.

Recolor Artwork: Remember the place of the Window Recolor Artwork open always in the middle of screen. I move it a side in 99% of time when I open it.
It would be nice if Illustrator would remember where I moved it, and open it in same place when opened again.
...some basic UI stuff that seems to be quite hard to implement.

Add more essential features to touch mode in illustrator Really essential features like the eyedropper tool, having the tools available at the top (like clipping mask, gaussian blur), and the essential properties panel (with pathfinder and align) as an openable tab (where colours or weight is in touch mode at the moment on the right) would be great.
This is because I often find myself switching between essentials and touch on my laptop when I am completing my coursework, which means that I am lagging behind my class and sometimes switching so frequently between tablet and laptop modes physically makes my laptop stuck on one of these modes, causing…

Please let the "X", "Y", "Width", "Height" input boxes in the "Properties Panel" auto adapt to the panel width In this way, if the user wants these input boxes to completely display the values without being blocked, only need to widen the panel, and the input boxes will be widened accordingly.

プロパティパネルのアピアランス部分に濃度設定を追加してほしい 現状のアピアランスパネルでは塗りや線の色を設定する際に塗りのアイコン部分をクリックするとスウォッチが開き素早くカラーを変更可能です。しかし、そのスウォッチに対して薄い色が欲しい場合、開いたパネルで１回ボタンをクリックすることによりカラーパレット表示に切り替えた上での調整が必須です。
この手順はワンクッション増加するためにプロパティパネル上の不透明度の設定を調整することで代替してしまうというワークフローが増加しています。これはデータ上に安易に透明効果を適用した部分を増加させる事に繋がり、適切な設定を施されないままトラブル誘発の原因となってしまっています。
なにより、不透明度を下げるという事はその下の情報を表示する事に繋がりますから色を薄く設定するという意図からはかけ離れた行為であると言えるでしょう。

この説明はまずいです。塗りの濃度調整及び不透明度の設定はそれぞれ明確な使い所が存在し、適切に使い分けるべき機能です。
さて、ここで提案なのですが、InDesignの様にプロパティパネルのアピアランス部分の「塗り」と「線」の項目に濃度の設定項目を追加していただきたいと思います。
InDesignとはスウォッチの性質が異なるのですが、設定したスウォッチに対して濃度の項目で設定した数値を単純に割合として計算した数値のカラーを適用出来れば問題ないと考えます。
添付の機能追加提案分の画像の赤で囲んだ部分のイメージのようにしてはいかがでしょうか。
こうする事でユーザーは簡単に塗りや線の濃度を調整可能となります。ぜひご検討頂けたらと思います。

Fix Variables panel scrolling to bottom when making changes When i'm working with the variables panel, the variables panel is scrolling to the bottom of the list, every time i select a layer in the layer panel or when i link the variable to the layer. Because of this, i have to scroll back to where i was before every time i make a change. I have between 100 and 200 variables in my project, so this make the work time twice as long as it should be.
Can you please make it so that it remember the position and doesn't scroll to the bottom every time.

Make varibles column resizeable in variables panel In the Variables panel you have two columns, "Variables" and "Objects". The column width is locked so you can't resize the width to match the length of the variables. This make it difficult to use when you have longer variables and can't see the full name of the variable. I have a lot of variables with the same name, but with an incrementing number at the end of the name. It would make it way easier to work, if i could see what variable i'm working on.

Make title bar of inactive window look different from an active one On Windows there is no way to tell Illustrator window in focus from inactive one, even when a corresponding option in OS preferences is on.
And every time Ai is not in focus you can’t use hotkeys.
Please make at least something dynamic to tell if the window is in focus! Like it was before. Icon changing color at least.15 votes -
Zoom factor that shows all artboards I'd like to have an additional zoom factor in the zoom drop down field that says "All artboards" that zooms out so far that all artboards are visible.

Allow eyedropper to ignore locked layers. Allowing the eyedropper to optionally ignore the contents of locked layers would be very useful. Having a locked layer with transparency above an active layer and trying to sample a line weight, only to sample the fill or other attributes of a transparent object that you're working "through" is very frustrating.

Absolute mode that always sets a fill a single click and stroke with the Alt+click/right click Setting a color for fill and stroke depends on what is 'active' in the toolbox. This is a relative mode mode and it's unique for Adobe apps (and their imitators/imitators).
What about giving a direct way of setting fill/stroke, without remembering which is in focus now? somewhat like Corel Draw does?
Give us an option to be able to set a fill with a single click, and a stroke with the Alt+click (and additionally bringing it to focus), or right click.6 votes -
Option for bigger User Interface Yesterday I downloaded Illustrator (26.0.2) for the first time. But the small User Interface stops me from using the product. The text is so tiny, especially in Properties and Layers panels. For me the possibility of a larger text is important. If there is no option for enlarging, I stop using the product. But I really want to use Illustrator and to create beautiful things.
I tried to fix the issue with Edit > Preferences > User Interface < Adjust the UI Scaling slider. But the changes are insignificant on the highest possible value. I think the UI Scaling slider…
