Delete all saved selections There is no way to quickly delete all the saved selections (displayed in the bottom of the Select menu, once you saved them via 'Select > Save Selection...').
You have to do it one by one, which is a torture.Also you can’t just right-click a name of it right there in the menu and say 'Delete' — because you have no context menu for top menu items. You do not like context menus in general.

Fix annoying save bug after adjusting UI preferences I just encountered an annoying save bug that caused me to lose 90 minutes of work in Illustrator. Here is the sequence of events:
• I opened an existing document in AI, with the intention of changing it and saving as something else.
• I opened preferences and made a minor UI adjustment (tweaked the size of my tool bar).
• Dialog #1 stated that changes will not occur until you restart AI. Would you like to restart? Yes/No.
• I selected YES (without thinking), under the assumption that I would be given the option to 'save as.'
• Dialog #2…

UI Scaling for Macs without 1920 x 1080 resolution (on a MacBook Pro 13" M1) Hello, I would like to have UI scaling for smaller Macs that do not have or meet the resolution listed (ie 1920 x 1080).
I am on a 13" Mac and it is difficult to see my toolbars at its current size and don't have a solution to improve it. This feature would aide in stronger accessibility to those who have vision impairment or challenges. Thank you for considering this change.

Open Library file It would be great if the initial Illustrator screen included an "open from Library" option. This may already be there but if it is, it was not obvious enough for me to find 😬. I often want to edit or open library assets and I think it would be great if I didn't have to create a new file in order to be able to open library items.

Ignore commas in graph data I create regional reports with a lot of data visualization, so I copy and paste from excel and google sheets all the time. The amount of time I spend removing commas from each number over 999 while creating graphs is wild. I'm working on finding better workflows for this, but if you could just make commas invisible or intelligible to the data window in Illustrator, I would be so happy!

Basic touchpad functionality on Windows As someone who just switched from Mac to Windows, it's incredibly frustrating not to be able to zoom with a pinch or even to scroll diagonally.

Renaming Layer Shortcut Keys! Hello there Illustrator Devs!.
I just wanted to ask about a very simple feature but until today it hasn't been added to the Illustrator App
can you add a shortcut to rename a layer?. it is important for motion graphic artists to rename all the layers so it will be clear which layer for each object in after effects.
double-clicking is ok but it seems to be more efficient if I can bind some hotkeys to rename layers because using hotkeys or shortcuts just requires one hand only rather than using a mouse.
I will appreciate it if you consider…

Display Workspace Name in Application Header The workspace switcher in the application header used to show you the name of the workspace you were currently in, it seems like it has now been replaced with only an icon. Would be great if we could bring back the workspace name, as I like to know what workspace I am working in, also there is plenty of room and a larger button target couldn't hurt. I could see it as simple as being able to pull the vertcle rule over to the left if users wanted the "expanded" workspace button vs just the icon.

Please give us a keyboard shortcut for "scale strokes & effects"... and show an icon somewhere in the user interface, that is always visible and shows the state of this preference.

Rotate artboard with all objects It's possible to rotate the artboard, but the objects are still on their old positions.
I found the is a button to bind artboard and objects for MOVING the artboard together. Why does that not work for rotation?In the mean time I have written a small javascript to solve this: https://www.behance.net/gallery/125369255/Javascript-for-Illustrator-RotateArtboard
I hope, we can use a rotation of an artboard with it's objects soon in AI.

Put Tool Options in a Panel Put all Tool Options into a panel instead of a modal dialog. Stop interrupting workflow to get settings that could easily be encapsulated into a panel.
Also, quit with the 50 different ways of asking the same thing. The blob tool, warp tool, any brush tool all use different ways of getting at the same setting:
Brush Size, Brush Shape, Brush Angle, Brush Roundness, Intensity Pick the best one and stick with it in all the tool settings.

Try to Eliminate Modal Dialogs There are entirely too many Modal dialog boxes in Illustrator. It would be nice if there were none. Everything that currently pops up and steals focus (completely obscuring everything behind it) should be done in a "settings panel" that can be opened or closed as necessary.
For example, there is nothing so urgent about the line tool that it should require a modal dialog box to open. If I want to configure the settings, they should appear in a panel called "settings" and I should be able to change them easily without having to stop everything, fill out the form,…

Recovery Improvement The cancel button should not instantly close the file. The reason why is I'm so used to pressing cancel to get out of an option that I don't want without it closing the file. Because of this, I have been conditioned to think that if I press cancel then I will still be able to work on the file. This goes for all Recovery options on all the programs. It would also be nice to have access to said recovery file longer rather than it being completely lost after pressing cancel.

When preferences are changed by user, make them permanent so they do not revert back! What is the point to setting preferences in your application when the app will just default back to original settings when reopened?

Support for 3Dconnexion spacemouse 3Dconnexion makes devices that have 6 axis of movement (a bit like a joystick). In CAD software these are as standard as a mouse. It is used to manipulate the object in 3D on the screen as if you were holding the object or as if you were holding a flying camera hovering around the object (your choice).
In 2D environments these devices can be used for moving the canvas top-down, left-right and for zooming. Additionally macro buttons are available on many of the devices.

Bring back menu highlighting feature in 'HELP' menu Please bring back menu highlighting feature for Illustrator and Photoshop! In previous versions, you could type a word in the HELP dropdown (i.e. "offset path in Ai"), and the menu where the item is located would drop down and highlight the item. This is very useful because designers sometimes remember the name of a feature, but not where it is located. Also for learning it is very useful.

New file preset Add a button to add a preset or save presets, that would save in the right folder without have to navigate deep in Windows Explorer.
I used to have it working on my PC, but because I tried to revert to a previous version of Illustrator, it is not working anymore and it's frustrating that I have to troubleshoot something that should be simple and easy because it help a LOT to speed up workflow.
Please consider this feature!!

맥 버전에서도 윈도우버전과 같은 단축키를 쓸 수 있게 부탁드립니다. 윈도우 버전에서는 알트 키를 이용해 메뉴에 접근하고 주요 메뉴는 연속된 키 입력으로 접근이 가능합니다. 예를 들어 문자 전체 선택을 하기 위해서는 알트 sop를 누르면 됩니다. 이러한 방법이 맥 버전에서는 불가능해 너무 불편합니다. 동일한 방식으로 단축키를 사용할 수 있도록 업데이트 부탁드립니다.
