Rearrange only Selected artboards
Currently I can only "Rearrange All Artboards".
But I just selected only some artboards in my document and I want to rearrange only selected items. For example, increase spacing between them.

Beta 29.8.0.43 now supports snapping when rearranging selected artboards: Smart Guides, Snap to Grid, Snap to Pixel.
Please try to update and test it.

Snapping is here!
Needs thorough testing.
Notice, especially when using Snap to Pixel, that if your artboards sizes are not integer, this rearrangement would snap only the first one to the grid, while others would respect the chosen gap. Feels honest, but perhaps some would expect each one to be placed on a grid, to avoid extra pixel added when the size gets rounded (please take a look at this old bug report: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/30992416)We do have 'Align selected art to pixel grid button', and it works for artboards, but it also changes the sizes of them, making them fully snap.
What do you all think about it? -
Viviane, in Creative Cloud desktop application navigate to Apps, pick Beta category at the top, find 'Illustrator (Beta)' and install it. Be warned — .ai files would start to open with it, as the latest one installed. It should not alter any other settings of the main build.

How do we access the Beta?

A big issue is that if you select several artboards at once to duplicate them and they were in order
A
B
C
they used to duplicate as
copy of A
copy of B
copy of CSince the latest Illustrator update they mirror instead, as
copy of C
copy of B
copy of AMakes batch duplication worthless and I now have to duplicate each one separately OR do the set and then move them around manually.
New idea from comment
This comment was upgraded into a new idea: Order of duplicated artboards is reversed -

New way this feature works is absolutely horrible. Please bring back one-click rearange T_T

I love the statement, a workaround is not the same a function...
This report is similar to that request:
"Align Artboards to nearest pixel" or "Rearrange selected artboards" to avoid extra pixel on export.
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/44429721...but not enough to be merged, I think.

As per title, Rearrange Artboards feature does not align to pixel grid. First Artboard is aligned correctly to a whole number for both x and y. Run process and all artboards are then misaligned.
I found a workaround: select all artboards and then Object > Make Pixel Perfect but workarounds do not equal function.

1.当有多个画板,我想对部分画板(已选择的画板)进行重新排列,包括画板间的固定距离分布。
2.当移动画板时,希望将画板与画板外选定的图形或文字一起移动。 -

I use a lot of artboards for ui interface pictures (GIS program, a lot of symbols for functions), but also for a lot of objects in the map. I would like to arrange parts around a certain theme (like road objects) after creating a lot of them.

It won’t be needed if the main problem gets fixed:
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/37694659
Please vote there. However, I like the feature as a separate thing.
There are several script solutions to pin objects and their points to the grid, but nothing specifically for artboards. Voted! -

I have the same problem
Example:

Note - by deleting the decimals from the X/Y coordinates I have been able to resolve the "alignment" issue you describe as well as the problem I am referring to. -

Similar to "Rearrange All artboards" except I don't want them rearranged, I just want them to snap to the nearest whole pixel to avoid the extra pixel when exporting raster assets.
OR
"Rearrange selected artboards only"
I frequently set up documents with with dozens of artboards of various sizes organized and positionally grouped in specific ways. Currently I need to manually set x and y pixel coordinates for each artboard because "rearrange all" destroys the iterative structure of my document.

Yes, I need that also for sections, as I need each section in one row of artboards
