    I have a similar problem

    Example:
    https://youtu.be/irc6URkO3fM
Note - by deleting the decimals from the X/Y coordinates I have been able to resolve the problem, but we should not have to "delete" the decimal places of X/Y coordinates if we have set an exact size

    Hi,

If you will export artboards in any fractional scale or by specifying height and width you will get correct output.

The best way to not get an extra pixel is keep your artboard coordinates in integers. You can achieve that by changing the reference point of artboard to top left and typing in the nearest integer or do Make Pixel Perfect(Object > Make Pixel Perfect). If size of your artboard is increased please manage that accordingly and export.

    Thanks & Regards

    I have the same problem

    Example:
    https://youtu.be/irc6URkO3fM
Note - by deleting the decimals from the X/Y coordinates I have been able to resolve the issue but I should not have to do that, and its especially a problem when exporting/rearranging 100's of small artboards with icons and very specific APP development media that needs to be exact sizes.

I guess my report here is a duplicate, so I upvoted and added a video here

    I have the same problem

    Example:

I have the same problem, also related to this issue is the EXPORT bug when dealing with X/Y coordinates that have decimal places.

This issue is probably happening because the artboard dimensions are not appropriate for raster export (i.e. are in decimals).
If you make x and y values as the whole numbers in the transform panel (not in decimal), then the extra pixels will not be added to the exported image.

That is the workaround, and it’s reported that it’s not always the case.

At the same time — Ai knows the size of artboards to be exported and yet it does not deliver the set sizes, which is not fair. The team is going to rethink the algorithm.

Here is a VIDEO proving the problem exists and how to recreate it
    https://youtu.be/irc6URkO3fM

Problem: when exporting a specific size, lets say 1000x1000 px square 1:1 ratio, Illustrator creates an image that is off by 1px (width/height, or both)

    To recreate:
make an artboard that is 1000x1000 pixels, NUDGE the artboard on the screen so the X/Y coordinates begin to use decimal places. Export the artboard, you will see that the greater the offset of the X/Y coordinate the more the deviance of the W/H, up to 1 pixel.

This causes problems when using media in applications that have strict settings for sizes.

    Expected Behavior:
Irrespective of wherever my artboard is placed on the screen my explicitly set size should be honored/enforced during the export.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

This bug remains a major problem. Unless I zoom into 800% I am unable to scale even simple shapes like a rectangle. The bounding box "resets to rotate" even though the VERTICAL SCALE arrows show up and the mouse cursor changes when hovering over the middle control point. Please fix this. It is a huge impediment to workflow having to zoom in just to scale an object.

Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

    This video shows the problem:

    Other notes:
1- artboard names from other peoples file do not open
2- artboard names in all of my own files are gone (unless I uninstall illustrator and go back to old version)
3- tried to uninstall illustrator, reboot, delete the Adobe cache folder, install illustrator fresh

    problem persists.
NOTE: that the name disappear after saving, closing and then re-opening the file.

Yes, same problem, also... In the new version of Illustrator - CC 22.1 the ARTBOARD NAMES do not save at all. To reproduce open a new illustrator document, set up 10 artboards, NAME THEM, save the document, close it, re-open the document, the names are GONE. Also, when opening illustrator files that PREVIOUSLY had artboard names, all names are gone. They have been replaced with generic artboard names. To fix the issue switch back to a previous version of illustrator, ie: 20 or below, and the artboard names are back and they stay.

We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.

Yes, this is a serious problem, ALSO the artboard names do NOT SAVE ANYMORE. Open any AI file, make several artboards, save the file, close it, reopen it , change the names. The next time you open the file all the artboard custom names are GONE. This is horrible when you have 20-50 artboards in a single file that were all perfectly named and now have suddenly been replaced with "artboard 13" "artboard 49"
