File > Adobe PDF Presets menu, to have even faster PDF export options
Starting with build 28.6, we can now Export As PDF (thanks to this request: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32841790)
This works alongside with a pervious lesser known method: Save a Copy, as PDF.
However, exporting a PDF copy to make a quick 'snapshot' still feels slow — we get a dialog and have to choose a preset we want to use.
Meanwhile InDesign offers a handy configurable menu that allows to skip format options and go with a chosen preset, like the attached screenshot shows.
Please make a similar menu.

Not to capture this great idea, but from my point of view (or way of working) it seems to me that once I chose the correct export setting in INDD, it sticks. So what I would love to see is that the ne export as feature of Illustrator would REMEMBER that I never never never want to export as PNG but rather only PDF.
I could manage and live with the fact to have to press enter once again after the systems asks me what preset to use, but it feels cumbersome and 1990-ish to have to change to PDF over and over (with the mouse instead of the keyboard on top of that!)
Maybe both could be thought about and incorporated?

I 100% agree.
PDFs should be exported as snapshots, and the previous method of selecting file formats from the save menu was quite odd. However, the implementation in build 28.6 also feels quite strange. Who would notice PDF export buried so deeply in the menu hierarchy?
Despite having an application with a clear UI like InDesign, I cannot understand why this design choice was made.
