Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

I am happy to share that ‘Auto spell-check’ feature has been shipped in the latest version of Illustrator. Here is how to enable/disable it in the latest release : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2020.html#spellcheck

We have done further updates to Dimension tool with recently released version - 28.3
You can create and use your custom scale for dimension, hide or show units on dimensions and dimensions are now sticky to the object - they transform as well when you transform the object.

Hi ,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue you're facing. Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce it on our end. To help us investigate further, could you please provide the following details:
- Wacom tablet configuration (model and driver version)
- When you first noticed the issue
- Is the issue consistently reproducible? (i.e., does it happen every time?)
- Machine's OS and GPU specifications
If possible, it would also be helpful if you could share a short recording of the issue, or let us know if you're available for a debug session. This will enable us to resolve the problem more promptly.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to assisting you.
Regards,
Aishwarya G Gadodia

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

The fix is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.
If it misbehaves still — please comment back.
An error occurred while saving the comment MarkR commentedI'm using Illustrator 28.2, and unfortunately won't upgrade due to all the many other app-ruining-issues with the latest downgrades to Illustrator. These absolutely aggravatingly annoying popups are the worst!
Seriously Adobe, STOP destroying all your once perfect applications!!!

Mapping is now available in Beta. There are some known issues with it, but even more unknown ones, so the team encourages you to try it and write back about your experience with it, to help to make it better.
An error occurred while saving the comment MarkR commentedWith the latest Illustrator update, 26.2.1, I experimented with mapping some symbols to 3D object, created by the new-3D and 3D-Classic. While the symbol mapping is now a possibility in the new-3D (THANK YOU), it's no where close to the superior functionality with the vector 3D-Classic tool.
New-3D
•Mapping symbols to cover a multi-faceted surface is easier, but then its seriously flawed (see the attached image).3D-Classic:
•Vector 3D is so far superior to raster 3D that it's a world difference.
•The 3D image can be Expanded and sectioned out. That is a must-have feature
•Wrapping a symbol object around the edges and multi-faceted object is more difficult, but with a little work it can be accomplished so much better than the New-3D raster engine.
•There is only a single very minor flaw with the vector 3D-Classic, and that's when a symbol gets close to a sphere pole it warps. But then it can be easily remedied by simply placing the symbol centrally, and rotating the sphere instead. Easy fix.PLEASE keep and improve the vector 3D functionality, PLEASE

An error occurred while saving the comment MarkR commentedThank you for the information, Egor! That's good news.
I use 3D-vectors ALL THE TIME. 3D vectors work seamlessly with vector illustration work, and are vital for good workflow.
3D-raster/bitmap is almost useless. There are countless applications that do that already.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not abandon 3D-vectors!MarkR shared this idea · -

Now that the DOJ has created a DEADLINE for ADA WCAG compliance (April 24 2026), having a tool and or functionality to test and determine Accessibility compliance within an Illustrator document is PARAMOUNT!!!
