Better but not large enough. Should have a setting where you can specifiy unit scale.

I have been testing out the 24.1 Build 1
in regards to the Large Canvas Functionality

When I start a new document and assign artboards as 250" x 250" and ask for 10 artboards
it creates artboards that are 227.54" x 227.54" instead

This is the only issue i have experienced so far

    Great job!.

Looking forward to using this in the upcoming public release!

Flexisign which is a sign specific software for designers offers the ability to design using 1:1 scale at sizes of hundreds of feet, wish illustrator offered this

I agree this is necessary. I often deal with Large exterior signage, sometimes 60-100 feet wide, and scaling is fine but becomes a hassle. We end up having to use proprietary sign software just because it can go larger (Flexi Sign) Please Adobe fix this

    Hello all,

The 'Apply to all' checkbox has been brought back in the Replace missing link dialogue.

'Apply to all' checkbox was removed when we introduced the 'Auto-relink' (search for missing links in this folder) functionality, as we though 'auto-relink' is going to take care of the 'replace all' workflow as well. But it didn't work as expected in few cases as pointed out by some of you.

Hence, with the latest release V29.2 (full roll out happens on Jan 9), we have decided to revert to the earlier experience whereby we are bringing back 'apply to all' checkbox and rolling back the 'auto-relink functionality.

Because of conflicts, both of these functionality cannot co-exist unless we make some significant changes to the relinking experience.

As we understand, 'replace all' was a important workflow for most of you, so we decided to quickly bring it back while working on the overall…

This is absolutely ridiculous. I can't even begin to understand what's happening here. It's like the left hand is not just unaware of the right hand, but they’re both acting like they exist in entirely different realities. Adobe’s miscommunication clearly goes deeper than anyone thought possible. And honestly, I don’t blame the developers—they're just working with whatever nonsense they’re being fed—but management? They've completely lost the plot. Their priorities are so out of whack, it's a joke. I'm not using Illustrator to play around with some pointless AI drawing cute little birds. I need it to do my job, to actually reduce the mind-numbing monotony of tedious tasks, not add to it with unnecessary fluff. It’s like they’ve forgotten that this is supposed to be a professional tool, not a toy for showing off whatever half-baked AI features they think will impress people

Just tested 29.1 40 and I opened a document that had several of the same link placed. I selected them. went to relink. and there was no options to replace all.. I had to still select the link multiple times.. as the popup re-appeared. is version 29.1 40 newer or older then 29.1.0.2
    maybe im missing something.

I like the functionality. much better. I think the UI could be spread out horizontally but this looks great to me

"The team confirms this is no longer available in Beta 29.0.0.38 and is going to be revisited in the next one."

this is Hilarious.. is this team work?.. sounds like everyone is working individually and not communicating. Adobe you can do better. I believe in you!

so far I find the trace features to be disappointing in illustrator

I have used that technique before and often it works but sometimes you only know the length of something thats on an angle. for example a Triangle or a Awning or something angular where you know the length but otherwise dont know the width or height

+1 for being able to adjust proportions of image if you add multiple lines.. if would distort the image via width, height, angle, perspective. (as an option)

Often I need to place a photo of something and scale it to a certain size based on the content of the photo. For example. I place an photo of the side of a truck. And I know the truck is 250 inches wide. But the photo shows also the background.. and the image comes in at 10 inches. I want to be able to draw a line from one point on the image to another, and then I would select the line and the image and hit a button and a pop up dialog box would ask how long that line should be. And then it would scale the photo until that line matches the number Ii entered in inches or whatever unit was being used. This would also be great if used on an angle. It would really help to get things to scale quickly.

The latest Illustrator release - v29.3 now offers 'Preview Missing Fonts' functionality to improve your experience when working with files that contain unavailable fonts.

If you open a file with missing fonts, Illustrator will now render the text correctly in Preview Mode on the artboard, even if the fonts are not installed on your system. This ensures the files appear as intended without requiring immediate font installation.

For more details and help, please see this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/find-missing-fonts.html

Hello, what is the current status on this feature. Open file as curves. currently the work around of flattening transparency and selecting outline text generally works.. would be nice if this also worked on documents with several pages. perhaps as a initial release just add the same function upon opening. get the basic functionality in there. before we get elaborate with edge cases

If you open a PDF and it shows the proper font. but you open it in illustrator and it cries that font isnt available. but font data is in the PDF. would be nice to have an option to Import Text as Curves using PDF font data

Thanks for sharing that script and resource page,. very helpful.
would also be great if Adobe offered illustrator scripts in its marketplace of plugins. and a better built in script manager, to run common scripts easier.. similar to how photoshop handles actions

The solution is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.

PDF is now available as type in File > Export > Export As dialog.

However, File > Adobe PDF Presets menu, similar to one InDesign has, to allow even quicker export, is absent still.

If you want to have it, please upvote this new request here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48670088
