    Adobe, love all the new A.I. features but what I would really love in Illustration would be what Vectorizer.AI does. Forget live trace, give one click vectorizing, please! Like what Vectorizer.AI does but in Illustrator.

    The feature is added in the latest builds of Illustrator. The development of it is not complete yet, and the team has more plans on making it better for users to help them with their creative projects.

  3. Add a modifier key to Pen and Anchor Point tools to constrain an existing anchor handle’s angle while dragging a new handle out

    What I ask for is the equivalent of "constrain path dragging on segment reshape" kind of behaviour, but accessible on the fly on the anchor point edit level, not segment level. As it is now, if I have an anchor with a long handle on one side and short handle on the other side, it is impossible to adjust short handle directly without seriously messing with the direction of the long handle, altering the curvature wildly.

  4. Scissors tool should be aware of stroke width profiles and brush tool data.

    At present, if you use the Scissors tool on a path with a width profile, the resulting paths will both inherit the entire width profile. This always feels wrong; I would much prefer that the resulting paths had new width profiles that match the original look of the path.

  5. Straighten/unrotate object

    As far as I can tell, there's no way to re-straighten an object after rotating it. There's nothing retaining what the degree of rotation was. That would be really helpful.

  6. Can we please get Image Trace by Color option

    Can we please get Image Trace by Color option. So if we like to trace only single color elements from raster image, we can do.. We can correct the shape by pen tool and join it to our vector art...

  7. More vector brushes

    Have more brushes! (like a tapered brush), allow to add, export, and make custom brushes.
    Easily delete overlapping lines like in CSP.
    Include patterns like half tones for comics we can drag and drop inside shapes.
    Allow gradients and patterns to be applied to the stroke.
    We can choose which part of the stroke to change the width instead of all of it.
    Have an option to do an even width change or freehand.
    Be able to fill color within the visible strokes/lines instead of shapes.

  8. Ellipse Tool Properties/Dialogue

    Ellipse Tool, if make an ellipse then you have a little squire pointing to make ellipse’s End Angle and Pie Angle, but you do not have these feature available in its properties/Dialogue/Menu when you just select Ellipse Tool and you clip on the canvas or on Art Board you have no control features for that and you also do have the same features in Control Bar and Useless Properties Panel. I hope in the future version there must be added a dialogue for proper setting and measurements like retangle tool.

  9. Split / Divide Paths into equal parts

    It would be useful being able to split a path into a specific amount of equal parts. Tools like including the possibility to include a gutter like the tools we find in the "Split into Grid" option would be superb too.

    There are ways around to get it. but in makes the whole process tedious and not what someone would expect from software like Adobe Illustrator in 2020.

    PS: It also doesn't make sense that we can not sing in with our Adobe Account into this specific UserVoice forum. But I guess that paying our membership doesn't makes our opinion…

  10. Paste into selected object

    Very easy to paste easily from the clipboard to the selected object.
    ⌘ + alt + shift = paste into selected object.

    Currently, the option is complicated and not intuitive. A lot of time.

  11. Improved curve tools: splines

    I think curve drawing in illustrator could learn a lot from 3d design software like Fusion360 but particularly Rhino: the options to draw curves there are very very advanced and allow for extreme precision and manipulability

    When using the direct select tool, use a key modifier to toggle the lasso tool rather than always having to completely switch tools to get the lasso tool.

  14. Move the "Merge Live Paint" button from the control panel to the Quick Actions section of the Properties panel

    When you want to merge a new path with an existing live paint group and you select new shapes and the live paint group, the option to merge those shapes with the live paint group does not appear in the quick action section of the properties panel. I understand people may not want to do this but the new and more responsive context options that appear in quick actions are quite useful. I've steadily relied less and less on the control panel and now resort to the properties panel save this one function. Moving it down to quick actions when…

  15. Hide Pie Widget

    In the same way as we can hide the corner widget I'd really appreciate the ability to hide the pie widget (while still being able to see the bounding box) I've never used, but I often scale eclipses from the centre right anchor point. Which is impossible with the pie widget thing.
    View > Hide Pie Widget.

  16. Add checkbox to modify Magic Wand tool so you can select from "Active" or "All Artboards"

    Selecting fills/strokes based on their colors is a great way to make changes quickly in Adobe Illustrator.

    The issue with the Magic Wand tool is that it selects colors from ALL ARTBOARDS.

    My request is to add a simple checkbox to give the Magic Wand tool the option to select just the "Active" artboard. By default it will select from "All" artboards.

  17. Move anchor points in opposite direction relative to the object’s center point

    For years I have been hankering for a way to work with anchor points the same way as the width tool works or the option/alt modifier key works when resizing a shape with the selection tool.
    When two anchor points are selected I want to be able to move those points in opposite directions. Either attract or repel.

    Imagine there is a straight line between the two selected anchor points, when one of the points is moved away from the other point (pressing the modifier key) the point that is selected but not dragged should move in the opposite direction.

  18. Tools to edit paths to make straight lines, sharp corners, and smooth curves for faster vector trace clean up

    Attached are three tool examples I would like implemented into Illustrator to speed up the process of cleaning up vector paths. A lot of times when you do a vector trace the corners of text or objects will not have a sharp point or areas with straight lines will become jagged or distorted. To clean these areas up requires a lot of single clicks on points and anchor points to get the right result.   19. The "direct selection" tool should not move the whole object; only the "move tool" should do this; or it should be an option

    While using the "Direct Selection Tool" it moves the whole object sometimes
    Please make it an option to disable this feature.
    It should only move the anchor point. Since the points are small and in a complex document it causes a lot of mistakes. I have to do undo may times to reverse this. There is "Move tool" That should only move the object. Sometimes It causes unintentional changes in the documents That I do not want to make.

    Please make this an option in the settings

  20. Make it possible to select locked objects?

    I wish it was possible to prevent an object from moving, but still have the ability to select it. A preference setting to "allow selection of locked objects" or "lock position only" or something?

    There is a way to select locked objects in recent Illustrator versions.
    In Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display section toggle ‘Select and Unlock objects on canvas’ option to see small lock icons you can click when locked objects get into a selection marquee.
