2. Export slices as HTML

   I have always used illustrator and photoshop to work in for websites. I then normally open in Dreamweaver and finish the job off. Why can I no longer use the slices I have created in illustrator to create my initial html template... I don't seem to be able to export any more.

3. データをEPS形式で保存する際に、上書き保存になるようにしてほしい

   今までは、作業データをEPS形式で保存する際に、指定した場所に同名のファイルがあれば上書き保存できていたが、現在は、指定したファイル名の末尾に「_01」等が勝手に付け加えられ、別名保存になってしまう。これまでの方法で上書き保存できるようにしてほしい。

5. Allow me to change filename and file size dimensions with "Export as..." option

   I can no longer save my file with it's filename when exporting an artboard for client review. I would like to be able to have control over the naming of the file and the dimensions I export to (especially when building out billboard art files). If there was an option that showed file size and dimensions like in the previous "Save to Web" that would be optimal

6. Customize Export Formats

   I use only two export formats on a regular basis. It would be nice if could disable the formats I don't use. It is cumbersome to have to scroll through all the formats every time I use them. In older AI versions, each format was like a plug-in file that could be removed if not being used. It would also be nice if individual formats could be assigned keyboard shortcuts.

8. Multiple recover file management

   AI feature that allows to save multiple recover files separately.
   (The user decides how many copies of recovery to have, could be a single one or many).
   for example, in case I want three copies of recovery that saves separately every X minutes.
   recover1 saves every 30 minutes
   recover2 saves every 10 minutes
   recover3 saves every 2 minutes
   This would help to recover previous versions of the same file.

   Additonally an option to save backups:
   Save a copy every X minutes.
   For example: Save a copy every 60 minutes.
   This is not a recovery file, but a copy that is saved for the file, it does not changes after saved.

   Also, AI should make recover files more accessible, it is hard to find the folder that contains it.
   Allow the user to chose the path of the recovery folder. (Where the recover files are stored).
   (Same thing for backups)

   This would reduce the chances of a major bug crash that might keep the recovery file crashing. (If this happens the user would have additional previous versions of the file to chose).

9. Stop the over Writing of SVG vs Illistrator File saves

   I work with a laser cutter which uses SVG files. Whenever I SaveAs "svg" the file/program I'm working on now turns into said svg save.

   Id like it to stay as it's Illustrator file self so once I'm done making edits I can just save as normal. Currently when ever I save as an SVG I have to go Save As again and overwrite/replace the Illustrator file I'm working on. I've ran into issues before where if I do this too many times it sort of corrupts the ability to save as a SVGs.

   Would like the feature where in Photoshop, if you save as a jpg the file you're working on stays as a Photoshop file, it doesn't magically turn into you working on a jpg.

   I hope that makes sense. If i want to work on the svg file I'll open it separately later, I would just like the program to stay as is and not convert.

    Greetings,

    Just updating to 2021 software from CC2. Yes, I'm a dinosaur. One small but glaring difference is in previous versions, when I would Save, the Save screen would already have the file name highlighted so I could quickly type and rename it, or move the cursor. Now, I have to click on the file name field to make any changes. Small detail, but much more efficient previously. This goes for all of your products I assume, or certainly PS and INDD.

16. export large artboards to PNG using high (300 dpi) resolution

    Currently, files with large artboards (larger than 6535 px x 4730 px) can not be exported as a PNG with high resolution. The best is a medium resolution. My current project series requires a specific large artboard size (9075 px wide x 6201 px high exactly) and I would like to be able to export and then print them in high resolution to give my customers the best possible printed product. Illustrator does not currently support this, unfortunately.

17. SVG Import Notification and/or debug log

    Short back story: My company is an online supplier of custom printed products. Customers design their order on our website which we translate into an SVG file. Our production team imports that SVG file into AI for final processing of the customers order.

    When importing SVG files to AI sometimes entire parts of the design are not imported without any notification or log of the event.

    For example, when our production team imports SVGs where the text contains an emoji we sometimes (maybe always?) find that the entire text block is no longer included in the design. This is not obvious and it requires going back and comparing the import to the original JPG rendering to notice a difference.

    Much more transparency from Adobe on how SVG importing works in general would be greatly appreciated. Right now it's incredibly painful to debug import issues.

19. SVG exporting of path points

    Illustrator SVG asset exporter doesn't export single-point paths.
    My work system reads SVG files' layer and object names as IDs. In these files, I create a single point with the pen tool to use the x,y values as coordinate data. (This object is graphically a Path with a single anchor point.) I'll also create paths with 2 or more points in these files. When I export these objects using the asset exporter, the paths with a single point doesn't get exported, while paths with 2 or more points export successfully. When using SaveAs>SVG it does export the paths with a single point but it is created as the larger bloated SVG file variant (sorry, I don't know the SVG variant types to properly refer them here).

    Steps to repro:
    1) New file
    2) Create a point with the pen tool
    3) Rename that object as "SinglePointTest"
    4) Create a path with 2 points with the pen tool
    5) Rename that object as "TwoPointTest"
    6) Open Asset Exporter
    7) Select both objects and 'generate a single asset from selection' (plus sign icon)
    8) Launch Export for Screen Dialog (icon next to the export button)
    9) Click on the Settings icon (gear icon) aka Advance settings for exported file types
    10) For the SVG format settings, set the following:
    Styling: Internal CSS
    Font: SVG
    Images: Preserve
    Object ID: Layer Names
    Decimal: 5
    Uncheck Minify
    Check Responsive

    Save Settings
    11) Add 'SVG' as a format>Select Asset>Export Asset Button
    12) View the SVG code in the exported file and check for both objects: "TwoPointTest" and "SinglePointTest"
    Result: "SinglePointTest" object is missing
    Expected Result: Both objects are present in the SVG code.

    I tried the same above test but using Save As>SVG and it includes both objects but in a bloated SVG code file. For my work purposes, it must be in the simpler SVG code variant and I must use the Asset Exporter since I routinely batch export multiple assets at a time.

    Bonus information:
    This all worked in the 2017 version of Illustrator (v 21.1.0) but not in any of the releases following that. Fast foward to present day, I'm needing to use the newest version of Illustrator (2020, v 25.0) and am finally tapping into these forums/support to sort this out.

20. Add a "Ctrl +E" to illustrator for quick export

    InDesign has a "Ctrl+ E" for quick export instead of going down the menu bar and selecting it. Can illustrator put in a "Ctrl + E" for export. this is a annoyance since I'm exporting to jpg and tif formats all of the time from Illustrator for photoshop image adjustment

    Illustrator allows to assign your own custom hotkeys to most of the command from menus via Edit > Keyboards Shortcuts dialog.
