Ability to export all text at once, for translation
Please make a way to export the text for translation and then import again. Like InDesign's IDML files. You have so many users that would like to translate their content for foreign language markets and no good way to do it with InDesign.

Absolute Optical Kerning when scaling....
I understand show optical kerning works and that smaller type will have relatively more space between glyphs than larger type. However, this results in a problem for those of us who, due to Illustrator's canvas limit (See 227, #downwith227), must design at scales smaller than 1:1.
For that reason, I would like to request that there be an optional type of optical kerning implemented which does not add extra kerning as font size decreases.

Hotkey to exit Type mode
PLEASE MAKE A "HOTKEY" or keyboard command to EXIT "TYPE MODE."
ONCE ONE IS IN TYPE MODE, A COMMON ERROR IS TO ACCIDENTALLY TYPE:
VVVVVVVVVVVVV
AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
MMMMMMMMMM
etc.
The answer could be as simple as "Simultaneous Spacebar + hotkey letter."

"autoflow" feature in Illustrator
To place a docx or a txt file with an "autoflow" feature, like in Indesign. All pages should open all needed artboards.

Used to be able to resize text back to 100% in a group after stretching it horizontally or vertically.
After stretching a group horizontally or vertically, you used to be able to resize the text back to 100% (aka, revert the weird text stretching while keeping all the objects grouped together). This option seems to be missing after the Ai update! Please give it back!

Text thread marker (out port) is too small
The size of the red controller [+] which allows you to create a new threaded text is so small that is almost impossible to click. I think it could be bigger in order to improve the usability. In fact, many of those options can be bigger.

Error con el cambio de tipografía.
Resulta que cuando creo un cuadro de texto (cualquier opción) voy a la barra lateral derecha y cambio la tipografía no la toma, es decir vuelve y cambia a la que esta configurada por defecto, pasa con archivos nuevos y con archivos antiguos, cambie en configuración el tipo de letra, borre la memoria cache, y algunas otras cosas y siguió igual. lo único que me funciono fue poner una nueva barra de herramientas en la parte superior y desde ahí si me deja modificar y cambiar a cualquier tipografía sin ningún inconveniente. Enable Display Font Names in English by default in non-CJK versions

But it should be the default choice in non CJK versions.

Groups Created from Outlined Text Should Inherit Text Object Names
When converting a text object to outlines, the resulting group is automatically given the default group name, which I find inappropriate. It would be better if the group inherited the original text object’s name.
In cases where the user has not assigned a custom name to the text object, and Illustrator displays the actual text content as the object’s name in the UI, that same text content should also be used as the name of the new group after outlining.

Make hidden objects to be excluded from Text Wrap
Text wrap: invisible objects cause text wrapping.
It's all in the title. Personally, I can't figure out if this is intended. If so, is it possible to add a flag to remove the effect of hidden objects on text?2 votes -
Center Align Area Type
The area type justification settings aren't working. If there is a text box with more than one line of text, it will not justify properly. There are no extra settings for the text boxes - ie. padding, and I tried making new area type text boxes as well.

Type > Text wrap > Make / Release / options
I constantly expect Text Wrap to be in the Type menu instead of the Object menu. Can it show up there?
You don't have to move it from the Object menu, I'm fine with there being two ways to get to it.

Korean text can't wrap cleanly at syllable boundaries
In InDesign, Korean text can wrap cleanly at syllable boundaries, but in Illustrator and Photoshop it still can’t. We’re simply asking for the same “syllable‑by‑syllable” line‑break option that InDesign already has. Who on earth wants to type Korean like “인‑디‑자‑인‑처‑럼,” with every syllable forced onto its own line? We just need consistent letter‑spacing and neat line breaks.
Korean users have been requesting this for more than ten years. Adobe, please—could you finally make it happen?

Keyboard shortcut to cycle through 'Change Case' states
Allow users to assign a keyboard shortcut to cycle through 'Change Case' settings. This was available on previous versions of Ai, and is a basic functionality that seems to have been removed for absolutely no reason.

Adobe fonts searching on top of the font list > easier entry
Adobe fonts browsing on top of the font list. Instead of scrolling down the (large) loaded fonts list, I would suggest searching Adobe fonts on top of the font list or a dedicated search entry.

Type Automation/Modulation Tool
A automation/modulation tool allows type to be edited based off different parameters. (ex. typewriter function that allows more ink bleed onto random letters on a body of type). Similar to music production automation/modulation in that there would be values from 0-100 and then those settings could have a parameters (ex. setting the bounds of the automation from value of 80-100 and then having the ability to randomize that automation between those values). An ability to have an exact width without tracking
The width should be based on the actual vectors and not the letters with Tracking (Kerning). If I add 100 tracking to the text, it is wider then the actual vectors and that creates issues with making sure the letters will fit on a wall that they would be attached to.
