  1. An ability to have an exact width without tracking

    The width should be based on the actual vectors and not the letters with Tracking (Kerning). If I add 100 tracking to the text, it is wider then the actual vectors and that creates issues with making sure the letters will fit on a wall that they would be attached to.

  2. Request: Add Custom Font Sizes to Text Size Dropdown in Illustrator

    It would be great if Adobe Illustrator allowed users to save custom font sizes (such as 150pt, 200pt, etc.) to the default text size dropdown in the Character panel. Currently, while you can manually enter large font sizes, they don't appear in the dropdown for future use. Allowing custom sizes to be added to the dropdown would save time, improve workflow consistency, and make working with large text sizes more efficient. Thank you for considering this feature!

  3. Predictive text and optional ai copy adapted to text box design sizes

    I would like to have predictive text, while I write it can complete the word like it happens in my phone.
    Also once you have my copy done, have a menu to have other copy options, translations and changes of copy adapted to cover more or less space in my design.

  4. Alt/Option-click on the "New style" icon to open a text style definition dialog directly

    It would be a giant leap forward for Illustrator to match InDesign's UX for paragraph and character styles management.

    Allow us to Alt/Option-click on the "New style" icon to open the style definition dialog directly, avoiding nonsense names like "Paragraph Style 1."

    The same approach is used for Graphic Styles, so it should be allowed for text styles as well.

  5. Add Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+X as a text modal keyboard shortcut for strikethrough text

    Recently Ai finally added hotkeys slots for text formatting (following this request: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33679330) — for bold, Underline, Italics.

    We need more.
    Even though Strikethrough (as well as Underline) in Ai is very basic and does not allow customization (here is a request about both: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/48103976), we need at least an empty hotkey slot for it. Most apps support Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+X for this, so I suggest the same combination.

  6. Composite fonts with Chinese, Korean fonts

    Composite fonts (East Asian type option) only shows Japanese typefaces for CJK text elements. It would be nice to be also able to typeset CJK texts in Chinese/Korean typefaces to reflect regional differences in CJK character forms.

  10. Allow the bullet behavior to be turned ON or OFF

    I would very much like to have the option to turn the Bullet behavior ON or OFF. - Part of why I use Illustrator as much as I do is that I like to have complete control of my design. I use InDesign in a very limited, specific way, even with book layout, i.e. TOC & pagination. - For example, I'm trying to make headers for a short PDF and I can't add numbers before my headers without loosing control of the styling. They've been gobbled up by the bullet functionality and I can't even change the color. I can't…

  11. Make Check Spelling work in Finnish

    I have searched for answers in community and tried all the suggestions.
    At least English, Spanish and Swedish spell checking is working.

    I have changed the language to Finnish in preferences hyphenation settings, character styles, paragraph styles and in the written text box. Spell check finds no words and automated check also does nothing.

  12. Opentype + Glyphs UI Menu Preview

    While the UI for Opentype is appreciably better than Indesign, there are still a few hinderances in the UI that make it painfully difficult to use and limits functionality. This could solved in one (hopefully easy) solution: PREVIEW TYPOGRAPHIC FEATURES

    THE PROBLEM:
    Currently, you have to click the stylistic set to open a dropdown menu, once you’ve clicked a style, the dropdown disappears. To see another style you need to open the dropdown menu again and deselect the previous style you just selected. Open the dropdown menu again, and then select the next style.

  14. select and change stoke Color in text

    I have text templates that require changing the fill and stroke colors. I have to select the text, go to Appearance, choose Type, and change the color. The issue is that there are several texts with different combinations throughout the day.

    It would be great if I could set the three text colors as shown in the image, select one, then use an action that allows me to choose the text color, either fill or stroke, and change it to another from my swatch.

  15. Illustrator desktop windows版でのツール切替えのショートカット　

    MacOSと同じように、WindowsのIllustratorでも、日本語入力状態でツール切替えのショートカット（vで選択ツール・sで拡大ツール・rで回転ツールなど）が使えるようにしてほしいです。あるとないとでは、便利さが段違いですから。

  16. Apply Template to file

    I would like the ability to "apply template" to a graphic file so that styles with the same name from one template would update to a graphic with styles that have been updated to different parameters.
    Example:
    I work on proposals and the font/character/graphic styles vary from project to project based on RFP requirements for submission (each State has different requirements you must adhere to). We have many "boilerplate" graphics that are reused, but the fonts and, sometimes, the colors must be changed to meet requirements.

  17. Montserrat Semibold has problems syncing

    The Montserrat font is experiencing synchronization issues, even though it is installed in Creative Cloud. It disconnects every time, while the other fonts remain normal. Please check the bug.

    In the screenshot I am sending, you can notice that the Montserrat Semibold font is not appearing.

  18. Make it easier to find the handles needed to move text around a circular shape.

    It's so tough to find just the right place to hover in order to get the handle you need to drag the start/end points of text when placing it on a path, especially a round one. Seems like there's an easier way (maybe holding down a particular key while you click the anchor?)

  19. Find Replace dialog box to allow access to document for copy paste

    When you open the find/replace dialog box you no longer have access to the document so you can copy text. So you have to copy text -> open find/replace box -> paste in find field and click done -> copy the text you want to replace with -> open the dialog box again to paste and then find/replace. In InDesign this is not the case

  20. Connected Arabic letters 'break' on curves

    Arabic text on curved paths tend to break, like in the example. The current work around is to either convert the text to outline and fix the breaks, or to create an art brush with the outlined text and adjust, again, manually.

    Can this be fixed to allow the text to be on the curved, and editable.
