Path Text when using pattern as a shadow
When using pattern (for example, striped) as a shadow, text should take the angle of the letters.

One Tool for vectors illustrators
Hi,
it would be wonderful if connectivities in-one tool existing tools:Curvature tool
Shaper Tool
Pencil Tool
Shape bulider tool
Bulider Shape tool
Example actions:
Draw a basic shape by hand, eg. A rectangle - function works Shaper Tool and create a regular rectangle with 4 nodes.
Tap cursor anywhere on the one side line, and I add a new node, drag it to modificate line and create curves - function works Curvature tool
On one of the sides of shape between nods, draw zigzag. Draw zigzag starting from a point outside the line of the curve (somewhere on the side of the curve) - work function Shaper Tool and removing the entire section of shape between nods. Create shape open.
tap, and select one of the nodes and draw a new free line shape. In this way, it modifies the shape of freely drawing a native natural new section shape. - Work function Pencil Tool.
The selected shape is in editing mode so it has highlighted nodes, exactly as in the operation of the tools Curvature tool. Select one or more nodes, ie. An oval circle around them, and in doing so reduce the nodes, the nodes in the area of a circle is removed (reduction of nodes), the line is simplified.
WARNING.
press ALT - edit handle bezier (direct selections tool)WARNING.
It is very important that the described editing works only for the selected shape. If I'm want edit different shape I need to firstly select it.- If I check several objects can combine shapes or like - tool works Bulider Shape tool.
Now really, really do the same tool in a mobile application Adobe Draw.

Cannot key in units like cm, mm, etc.
Hi,
In the most recent update that I have, 22.1, the ability to resize an artboard by typing in a number and its unit has been removed. Was this intended? Please restore this function as it makes working with various units more convenient. Thank you.2 votes -
Please allow fonts to be found by typing in the name in the drop down list.
Please go back to allowing fonts to be found by typing in the name into the drop down menu.
2 votesThis is exactly what Illustrator allows already.
In fact, it allows two ways you can toggle, using the 'looking glass' icon at the left of the Font Family input: 'Search Entire Font Name' or 'Search First Word only'.
Perhaps it got changed for you?
Anyway — if it does not behave like it should — please log a separate bug request about this in the proper forums’ section.

Search tool just like Photoshop’s Ctrl/Cmd + F
This is one of the first things I missed when I went from using a Mac to a Windows PC. Luckily Photoshop integrated this in the Windows version, a simple Search option to search your entire interface and more. A lot of people know tools but don't know where to find them, it's simply too much. With that search bar your efficiency will skyrocket, no more going to internet to look up a tool trough a lot of web pages.

Option/Alt + Click to select repeated shape in Pattern Maker and add easier move function
Often in pattern maker, designers find themselves boggled at how its magic works, and tend to resort to legacy features and clipping masks as a solve for how to make a pattern repeat in this feature. Even when used properly an incorrect overlap may appear that can seem challenging to resolve. I am currently working on a hex repeat, that only shows an overlap when tiled at 5x5 and was a head scratcher to some of the team. In general this is easily solved by selecting and moving the distance of the swatch, but to identify these shapes can be a bit of a task since they're just virtual copies, but if they were selectable with a modifier key, it would make these easier to resolve. Bonus points if a move key is added to move a selection the exact height, width etc. of the tile.

Glow hard line
the glow selection effect to be able to have some form of HARD line which is what I think most of us want to be able to put around a photo clipping so that the background and the product photo can live together. so basic a stroke setting

Ability to select & rearrange invisible (switched off) layers and objetcs
It is incredibly annoying when I'm trying to group, move or rearrange objects or layers, only to be told by Illustrator that I need to turn visibility on before I can do any of this. Why?
In Photoshop I can move layers which are switched off with no complaints. It is a ludicrous process in AI to have to turn on a layer's visibility, move it, then turn it off again. And VERY annoying.

Time Saving Shortcut Customization like Corel. There are so many extra steps you have to take instead of being able to create your own shortcut keys. Align/Distribute is just one of many.

Illustrator is full of bugs, what is happening?
I've never experience such poor performance, it took me more than 3 days to complete a simple logo because Illustrator is extremely slow, full of bugs, pixelated vector, invisible layers wont go invisible, crashing without saving even when I have saved my preferences to save files when crash occur. Indesign has been giving some issues too but I didn't really had the time to deal with the app to figure it out more. I just wish Illustrator would work smoothly every time I work on it, is extremely painful to waste all that time trying to figure it out what is going on. I'm also having issues exporting PDF's they won't export as PDF but only as a single JPEG each artboard, while exporting a PDF some pages came good another in a different size but when checking the page size on indesing they all have the same page size, so how is it possible that just one page will show up on a different size.

Asset name focus after dragging asset to cc library panel
I create a lot of Creative Cloud library assets, usually by dragging vectors from my canvas directly onto the Libraries panel. I like to immediately name my assets, so it would be a huge time-saver if, once an asset had been successfully dragged, the "name" field got focus. As is, I need to mouse over to the panel and double-click to rename.

Allow text on linked files to be editable (just as it happens in embed)
When I embed a PSD file into Illustrator, it preserves the layers and also the text boxes, allowing me to edit the text. However, if the file is liked, Illustrator converts all text to pixels, which can cause various problems when printing. It would be great to be able to keep the text as vectors, even if not editable. But rasterizing all text just because the file is liked is a big problem.

Path selection sensitivity in Illustrator
You've finally made the node & anchor point sizes adjustable - HURRAY! However now when trying to directly select a path, i instead have to click on an area NEAR it but not ON it, so as not to pick up the other nearby paths. Furthermore, instead of being able to click in a blank area and drag my selection tool to pick up the paths Id like, it picks up everything near enough to where I've clicked in that blank space. It NEVER used to do that. Ive tried adjusting all the settings to no avail. its like now the sensitivity of the selection tool is off!?!?! Instead of being able to directly select what Im clicking ON, it'll pickup everything ELSE near it, and NOT the path Im actually trying TO selelct!!!!
In the 3 examples I've attached (one file) you can clearly see where I've clicked with my cursor and which path it picks up. *Sorry for the moire screen effect, it was the only way I could get a pic of where the cursor was placed as well (screen shot would not pick up the cursor).

I'm well aware that there is a new update. I do not have time to deal with the nonsense Adobe is known for in their constant "updates". Quit nagging me about it with the ridiculous pop-up.

Change colormode of swatchcolors with spotColorKind
Hello Adobe,
I want to change the colormode of a swatch with javascript.
I do not want to change the document mode but I want to change specific swatches in my swatch library.Now some of my swatches/colors are RGB spotcolors. I want to change them into CMYK spotcolor.
This is almost impossible now because spotColorKind is now read only :(
Now I have to:
- create new swatches with exactly the same colors and with different name
- attach new color to my pathitems
- delete old swatches
- rename swatchesI only wanted to change the colormode of the swatch......
Please make "simple" functions like this available. It would save a lot of code!
