  1. PDF with negative values for BleedBox, MediaBox shows incorrectly

    A PDF with negative values for the lower left corner of BleedBox, MediaBox and a TrimBox that has its lower left corner at (0,0) shows differently in Illustrator and Acrobat. Acrobat (and other PDF viewers) show the contents as expected, in Illustrator the content seems shifted.

    The attached example PDF has three different pages, the first two pages look as expected, the last page (with the negative values) does not look the same in Illustrator and Acrobat.

  2. "Open" window loads blank and duplicates

    Operating System:
    macOS 15 Tahoe – MacBook Pro M1 Pro, 32 GB RAM (Apple Silicon)

    Issue Description

    When I try to open files using File > Open… or the shortcut Cmd + O, the “Open” dialog window does not appear immediately. Sometimes it takes several seconds, and other times it takes minutes before it shows up.

    Because of the delay, if I press Cmd+O again or click File > Open repeatedly, Illustrator eventually opens multiple overlapping blank windows. These windows appear with a dark/empty content area and no file information loaded.

    The team has identified an issue for a small subset of users who are on the Windows operating system and also have their network traffic routed through a proxy.

    A temporary solution to this issue is the following:

    1. Open up PowerShell
    2. Copy and paste the following commands:
    cd "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2026"$env:WEBVIEW2_ADDITIONAL_BROWSER_ARGUMENTS = "--use-system-proxy-resolver"& '.\Illustrator.exe'

  3. Cannot Save as New File in v30

    Using the latest version of Adobe Illustrator (2026 version?)

    Trying to "save as new" but the save window does not load completely and then button shapes inside disappear and remains in this state. The only thing you can do is close the box.

  5. Not Getting "Overwrite notification" when exporting using "File/Export/Export as..."

    This only started happening recently and I'm not sure what to do to fix it. Whenever I export a file using the "Export as..." feature, I'll navigate to the location where it was previously exported and click the "Export" button. I used to get an overwrite notification asking if I wished to do so and I'd just click yes or no. Now, for some reason, that notification isn't triggering and Adobe Illustrator is just overwriting. I tried using Windows Explorer to copy and paste a file to the same location, and Windows "does" give the standard notification to confirm overwrite.…

  6. Suffix still gets added when an image is exported even though the option to add it is disabled

    While exporting a AI file to, for example JPG, the checkbox for automatic file extension (suffix) is unchecked. When I export it, the filename gets a extension (suffix) '-01' behind it. When I export, check the box, and uncheck it, the file saves without the extension (suffix), like it should. So every time I have to check and uncheck the option before exporting. Very annoying. Never had this issue before.

    Newest updated installed 29.6.1 on Windows 10 Pro.

    Anyone else has the same issue?

  7. Save/Export Dialog Fails on macOS 26 Beta — System UI Freezes After Error

    Operating System:
    macOS 26 Beta (Tahoe), latest developer beta as of July 2025
    Mac model: MacBook Pro M2 (2022)

    Adobe Illustrator Version:
    Latest available via Creative Cloud as of July 3, 2025 (v28.x.x)

    Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

    Open Adobe Illustrator.

    Create or open any file.

    Go to File > Save As or File > Export.

    The system attempts to open the save dialog but fails.

    The following error appears:
    “The save file operation failed. The save file operation failed to connect to the open and save panel service.”

    After that, core macOS interface components freeze, including:

    Finder

  8. CS２形式（AI、EPS）で保存したファイルが、IllustratorCS2で開けない。

    Illustrator2024（v28.7.1）を使用して、CS２形式（AI、EPS）で保存したファイルをIllustratorCS2で開けません。
    メモリが足りないというエラーが発生します。

    Illustrator2023には同様の問題はありません。

  9. 「ドキュメントの描画モードを分離」を適用したIllustrator形式ファイルを配置すると中身が表示されない

    macOS13.6.7/Windows11
    Illustrator.28.6

    1. 新規ドキュメント上に適当に図形を描画、描画モード（乗算など）を設定する。
    2. ドキュメントの描画モードを分離を設定してIllustrator2020形式（PDF五感）で保存する。
    3. 新規ドキュメントを作成し、先のドキュメントを配置する。
    4. 配置されたドキュメントの内容が表示されず、空白のドキュメントを配置した状態と同様にある。

    期待する結果
    配置ドキュメントを正常に描画する。

    実際の結果
    配置された「ドキュメントの描画モードを分離」を行ったIllustrator形式ファイルは内容を正常に表示できない。

    回避方法
    Illustratorドキュメントに配置する場合Illustrator形式ファイルではなく別途PDFを書き出せば配置は可能ですが、データによってはPDFが意図したとおり書き出されない場合があります。
    基本的にはドキュメントに対してのこれらの処理は行わずに個別に調整するのが無難です。

    ここでは「ドキュメントの描画モードを分離」を行ったドキュメントについて報告しましたが、「ドキュメントのグループの抜き」が適用されたIllustrator形式ファイルも同様の問題を抱えています。

  10. When using Export As SVG in 28.5 and 28.6, underscores get replaced with '_x5F_', unlike in 28.4 and earlier

    When exporting to .svg, '_x5F' text is added to one of the layers, which then changes the order that things are displayed.
    I do not understand how this text is now added and would like to prevent it from happening.

  11. Filled area text boxes do not export to SVG (v. 28.4.1)

    In the current 28.4.1 version, our files do not export to SVG correctly. You can easily reproduce this by creating any area text box and apply a fill to the box. The text will export, but not the filled box. We use this for all our our org charts and other graphics where we want the text to be easily centered in the boxes as the boxes get resized and moved.

  14. ファイル→書き出しにてJPEGを書き出す際、圧縮方式が選択したものと異なる場合がある

    Windows10/21H1 Adobe IllustratorCC 26.0.3

    問題が発生したときに実行していた手順
    1.アートワークをアートボード上に作成する。
    2.ファイル→書き出し→書き出し形式を選択しJPGを選択する。
    3.ダイアログ上で圧縮方式を「ベースライン（最適化）」を指定しJPEGファイルを書き出す。
    4.書き出されたJPEGファイルは圧縮方式がプログレッシブになっている。

    想定していた結果
    指定したベースライン（最適化）でJPEGファイルが作成される。

    実際の結果
    圧縮方式がプログレッシブにて書き出される。

    この症状はWindows版のみで起こるようです。また、書き出し状態が異なるケースも見られるようなので他のパラメータによる影響を受けている可能性も残ります。
    わたしが検証したファイル３種類を添付します。それぞれがファイル名に付けた圧縮形式で書き出しを行っていますが、バイナリデータを見てもベースライン最適化とプログレッシブのマーカーが入れ替わっている状態です。

  15. 中間色のあるグラデーションのあるPDFが正しく読み込めず色情報が消えてしまいます

    中間色がなければ正しく読み込めます。
    問題のPDFはインデザイン等で長方形を設定し塗りのグラデーションで中間色を設定すれば作成でき、PDFにエクスポートできます。
    編集をしたいので、"配置(Place)"以外の方法で解決したいです。

    追加情報をありがとうございました。

    InDesign でグラデーションバーの100％の位置にカラーストップがセットされていない場合に、Illustrator で PDF を開いた時にグラデーションのカラーが消えてしまうようです。

    今後、開発に進捗がありましたら、こちらでご報告いたします。

  16. 不明なエラーと表示され保存ができない

    Windows 10 Home 64bit
    Illustrator2021 25.3.1(64bit)

    不明なエラーと表示され、保存が一切できない状況が発生します。
    こちらの環境で再現可能な手順を2パターン示します。

    【パターン1】
    1.AdobeFontsからアクティベートしたフォントを使用したaiファイルを用意する。
    2.PC本体の起動直後など、ネットワークに接続した直後に1のファイルを開く。CCアカウントの連携がうまくいっていないのか画像1枚目の「環境にないフォント」というダイアログが表示されるので、この画面からフォントをアクティベートし、ダイアログを閉じる。(フォントは問題なく使用可能になる。)
    3.ファイルに何か変更を加え、保存可能な状態にする。
    4.ファイルを保存を選択する。このとき、画像2枚目の「不明なエラー」というエラーボックスが表示され、ファイルを一切保存することができなくなっています。（上書き保存、別名で保存、複製を保存のすべてで同エラーが発生。新しいファイルを作成して3のファイルのデータをコピーペーストしたものも同様に保存が不可能。また、2でアクティベートしたフォントを含むオブジェクトを削除しても保存は不可能。）

    【パターン2】
    1.PC本体の起動直後など、ネットワークに接続した直後にIllustratorを起動する。
    2.既存ドキュメントを開くか新規作成し、Illustrator上でAdobeFontsから新しいフォントをアクティべ―トする。
    3. 2でアクティベートしたフォントを使用した状態で、ファイルを保存しようとすると、不明なエラーと表示されパターン1の手順4と同じ状態になっています。

    検証中の操作画面のキャプチャも動画で用意しましたが、ファイルサイズ制限のためか添付できませんでした。下記リンクよりご確認ください。

    何の問題もなく編集できていたファイルが突然保存不可能となるため、それまでの作業時間が無駄になり非常に困ります。

  17. 別名保存でファイル名入力時に特定のキーコンビネーションで見えない特殊文字が挿入されCC同期エラー

    MacOS BigSur11.4 / Illustrator2021 v25.2.3

    Illustrator別名保存でファイル名入力時に、
    意図せず[control]+[option]が押されることで、
    表示できない特殊文字が入り、CC同期でエラーになる
    上記コンビネーションで、文字が入力されないようにしてほしい。

  18. Illustrator 24.2 EPS title information changed to "Adobe Illustrator Artwork"

    Previously when saving eps files, the "Title" information embedded within the file would be the filename. It appears that with version 24.2 the eps title information defaults to "Adobe Illustrator Artwork". Can this be corrected back to the filename? Our RIP uses this title information and now all our files are being processed with the same name.

  19. Brush strokes disappearing when exported

    Hello!

    I am completely new to illustrator and thought i would use this spare time to see if i could create my own new logo!

    I am trying to use a 'watercolour' brush stroke behind my text in two different colours which i have done successfully, however when i go to export my image, the brush strokes are appearing on the small preview image, but when the image is opened the strokes disappear. Is there something i need to do to be able to view these in large when exported?

  20. Temp file string prepended to filename slug

    When saving a PDF copy of a file with cropmarks to a network share a temporary string such as "ai157536670945_" is prepended to the filename in the page info/slug in the cropmark area.
