Suffix still gets added when an image is exported even though the option to add it is disabled
While exporting a AI file to, for example JPG, the checkbox for automatic file extension (suffix) is unchecked. When I export it, the filename gets a extension (suffix) '-01' behind it. When I export, check the box, and uncheck it, the file saves without the extension (suffix), like it should. So every time I have to check and uncheck the option before exporting. Very annoying. Never had this issue before.
Newest updated installed 29.6.1 on Windows 10 Pro.
Anyone else has the same issue?

Hi, I have been, and still am experiencing the same issue.
WORKAROUND: For those experiencing this, the workaround is to check and uncheck the Suffix checkbox when exporting every time, and it will export without artboard suffixes as normal.

I also have this issue. It is incredibly annoying to rename files. But I think it's been somewhat sporadic for me. Seems like sometimes it exports as expected, but others it will append the suffix. I exported twice from the same file; once it was named as expected, the next time it added the suffix. The file has always had only one artboard.

Ditto I don't have time to go back and rename every jpeg I save because it has added an unwanted and unchecked suffix!

Hi Egor, yes I think we mean the same.
i.e.
BG.jpg comes out as BG-01.jpg, although the checkbox is unchecked.CMYK or RGB exports are both the same issue.

Bart, do you mean 'Suffix'?
I can replicate this with 29.6.1 on Windows 10, but the latest Beta doesn’t do it and works as expected with the suffix... Perhaps it’s fixed already, needs to be checked.
Thanks for the report!
