Make a pattern swatch from grid repeat
Need to be able to make a swatch from grid repeat to use on spoonflower, etc.

Real brush tool, not “Blob” tool — draw single and editable line
I don’t want an outline of my line. I want a line. And changeable strokes and brushes.. And a real pen tool. Call me crazy but it’s kind of hard to ILLUSTRATE without the proper tools.

Top menu bar
This iPad illustrator needs to have a top menu bar with drop downs like the desk top version. With file, edit,and most of the other drop downs. I am a self taught user and have been using the desktop version for 26 years. it is the main tool I use for graphics for my screen printing business. I feel like I need to relearn with this IPad version and I don’t want to relearn I am getting to old

More hotkeys for Patterns and Repeats
I am a fashion designer and being able to use and make print and fabric swatches from images are essential features I use everyday. Other than that, we do need more shortcuts. I am still 100x quicker on Illustrator pc, as I know all my shortcuts which I can’t leave without. Ai on IPad still doesn’t live up to a standard which I can see myself using daily. Which is a shame, I would love to sketch while sitting on my sofa...

more default shapes!
for now only a circle, square, triangle, and a star are available. a gallery with more shapes could come in handy :)

Live drawing with 'Mirror' sucks
Other apps able to live draw with symmetry but why Ai unable to continuous drawn smoothly. I hate to set each objects and flip by Mirror. Please do it better.

Seamless pattern mathematics ...make it easy and make it work!
Make it easy to move up and down x and y axis by precise amounts for easy seamless pattern making...currently it is baggy and imprecise...make snap to grid and mathematical manipulation easy and flawless so seamless patterns are a breeze...see affinity iPad and your own desktop tool for reference. This should be fundamental to iPad experience

When creating a new document, we should be able to set up bleeds,rgb/cmyk , and other specifics. We should also able to be save with specific settings

Be able to change the dpi of a file on iPad
Having Illustrator on iPad is good, but kind of moot if the files we work on can only be in 72dpi. I can’t export projects I want to at 300dpi, and doing so on 72dpi makes them look awful

Layer edits
We should be able to rename delete copy cut or paste the layers
More editing options for layer should be there.That’s all otherwise amazing software to use

Reset bounding box
Would love to have Reset bounding box for individual objects in Illustrator for iPad, as well as having greater control of the auto-bounding box behavior of groups.

Touch tool
Option to position touch tool on right side of workspace. It is awkward to use when left-handed.

Line segment tool
Maybe I just don’t know how to do it but I can’t find the way to do diagonals inside a closed shape like I would with the line segment tool. And also add an isometric grid.
