An error occurred while saving the comment Valter, which version are you using?
Am I right thinking it happens only with GPU mode? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Same problem with scripts. Accessing a clipped size is a nightmare and requires cycled iterations over the collection of objects... while Ai just has these correct values in Transform.
Both should be addressed.

An error occurred while saving the comment Hmm. Converting a global color into a local one (and entering a new HEX value is basically is a conversion) is a destructive operation. Just editing a field and loosing the global status would be unintentional for some users...
But if Ai allows to set the cursor in the field, I think a warning should be given, and the conversion should be allowed if a user agrees. Another solution, making the field read-only for global colors, would be less practical and even more annoying, although technically more correct. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, Sonoma is a terrible update, and causes a lot of problems. No news on what causes these so far.
Thanks for the report though. -

As per the comment, the issue was with a font manager program (this time Typeface for Mac specifically), and fonts not being fully activated.
An error occurred while saving the comment Glad it got solved for you and thanks for replying back on this. Perhaps it can help other in the same circumstances!
I am closing it as Resolved. An error occurred while saving the comment Can you please share a test file (several files in this case) that demonstrate this problem?

An error occurred while saving the comment Walter, I can spot it alright though, I am using the darkest scheme myself. It might be your specific monitor calibration or just lighting conditions!
Can you make a mockup of the tint you’d be happy with though? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Garry, do you get any messages at all when it crashes?
Does Crash Reported dialog appear? If no — please try these steps to create Crash Reporter debug logs (Windows only):
1. Create a folder named "windowsclient" inside of C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\CRLogs\ (if not already present).
2. Create "generatecrlogornot.txt" file inside of C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\CRLogs\windowsclient.
Logs will be generated here.
When Ai crashes ('when', not 'if'...) — check the folder and share these here in comments. Upload them elsewhere and share a link, if you wish to or if UserVoice misbehaves (it sometimes does). The same thing happens for me, but instead of just crashing it prefers to freeze. And to be fair, it just crashes on its own long before 24h, during work.
Also, please try to open Task Manager, Details. Right-click on caption, choose Select columns, locate 'GDI objects' and periodically check the value for Illustrator.exe — if it ever comes to 9900 or something similar — let me know. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Todd, does it work as it should when you toggle toggle into CPU preview?
Can you please share small test file, with a portion of this artwork? Preferably with the whole depth stack intact in these regions you show.
What are your full specs, OS, GPU, etc.?
Can you tell more about your vision, please?
What good can these hotzones do for the graphics styles as we have them now? They don’t interact with placed art much.
If you have some mockups — that’d be great to see too get the idea you have.
