    Interesting. It does work OK for me, both for changing strokes or tints... But the case sounds and looks familiar, as if I had this at least once.
    Is this still an issue in the latest release?

    Oh, yes, yes, yes. I never asked of it, but I'd even say that right click should be customizable.
    As for the compound paths fro outlined texts — even like this — YES, YES, YES. I have an action that ungroup, release compound paths and then build a new one, and I HAVE to run it on EVERY outlined text when preparing files in my workflow. I think you should add this request as a separate one. Will you?

    1. Do you have any buffer managers installed?
    2. In Preferences > Clipboard Handling — what are you settings there? Does it help to change them?
    3. If you try to paste a formatted text from outside the Illustrator, does it get pasted unformatted?

    And thanks for reporting this, it helps.
