An error occurred while saving the comment Seems to be similar with this one:
When dynamic symbols are used and exported in JPG, the stacking order is reversed
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/48796493What do you think about merging these?

An error occurred while saving the comment Curt, thanks for the report. Not good!
It’s not clear exactly how do you put the images as an overlay. Is it just clipped, or used as an opacity mask?
Can you please package a test file with one of these included and send it to the team to investigate, using sharewithai@adobe.com?AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·
An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, I confirm this. So frustrating to see new bugs multiply and older ones get piled over.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jan, I added you as a voter in this general request about having Expand in Image Trace: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32347897
I edited the original request to have only one idea also. Please log one idea per entry, this helps prioritization and helps users to search and vote. And thanks for being active!

An error occurred while saving the comment Joseph, take a look at this:

It’s hardly a thing you requested, and it’s in very early stages of development, but perhaps this is something you can use?AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·
An error occurred while saving the comment This reminds of the Magnetic Lasso Tool in Photoshop, that does exactly that — traces a line (although not exactly vector) based on the raster image below.
Later they added Content-Aware Tracing Tool to create actual paths, but it tries to create paths instantly, often disjointed are hardly beautiful.
I like the idea, but I doubt the team is going to invest into a semi-automated tools that are very limited in their appliance... I bet they will try to modernize the image tracing algorithms further, and they will always fail :(

An error occurred while saving the comment A related request:
Select Objects Behind with Cmd/Ctrl click only works on filled objects
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/35516374An error occurred while saving the comment https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/033g7lejaeq5v5q/select_stroke_fhmx.gif
FreeHand allowed to select a shape by clicking its stroke, but it was not able to select it if you marquee it or its edge even (Ai does the latter). This is enclosing mode by default. But if you hold Alt (white arrow enables) and marquee a piece of it, you get whole shape selected when Alt is released (not like if you tried its Direct Selection white arrow, that does the same as Ai's). So in FH we had both enclosing and partial marquee modes! From the box! Ai has only one and has no by-stroke selection.AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·
An error occurred while saving the comment Stroke is immune to a selection. To select an object with a bold stroke, you have to precisely click the actual edge of it or marquee through it.
There is an option to make the bounding box include strokes, 'Use Preview Bounds', but it doesn’t affect this behaviour.
It’d be nice to have a separate option that allows users to click anywhere on a stroke and select the object with it.

The most recent version finally has the Object > Distribute menu added.
Now both Align and Distribute commands can be accessed via menu and have assigned keyboards shortcuts to them.
The order of the commands though seemingly matches the one the panel has: horizontal first for Align and vertical first for Distribute. If you find this odd and want to change it — vote here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/45855823-sync-the-order-of-align-and-distribute-menu-comman
Also, Align To and Distribute Spacing commands are still missing in top menus, so please keep voting here to make them added too.
An error occurred while saving the comment Sudhir, there is not enough default free keyboard shortcuts to assign all of these commands.
But you can assign them to any keys you want via Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts: Menu commands, in Object > Align. An error occurred while saving the comment There is now a dedicated request to have hotkeys (and menu items) for Distribute Spacing commands: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/47529830
An error occurred while saving the comment Bobby, I think I remember a request to 'treat the first / last selected object as a key object', the same way Corel Draw does...
However, currently I can’t locate it. Would you mind to log it separately? If I find one later, I will merge them.
Please describe the way you think it should work, the way for Preferences and / or Align to handle it, if it should highlight a key (and why not if not), etc.As for the hotkeys in general — as you say, RLCTBE in Ai do something else and reassigning them hardly worth it...
But there are plenty of requests about hotkey customization in general, including more modifiers and more flexibility. Please upvote them, it helps.AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·
An error occurred while saving the comment While this is necessary, you can still use Actions to record alignment/distribution (I do). These are limited to F-keys, but you can always redefine them in Autohotkey (Windows) and Hammerspoon (Mac).
As for the Tab — this button is taken (and I would be very mad if it would be taken from me).
'Next object above/below' is there, Alt+Ctrl+square brackets, is it what you want? (it kinda broken in Isolation mode though)An error occurred while saving the comment While it's not done, record some Actions for aligning and use F-keys to access them.
This is a way I use now. -

If you want to make a plugin yourself that does this and have profit — don’t post anything if you think that your idea is worth it.
Ideas are cheap though.

An error occurred while saving the comment The link above is dead.
Another script solution to deal with it: https://github.com/alexander-ladygin/illustrator-scripts/blob/master/artboardsRotateWithObjects.jsxAn error occurred while saving the comment Lotte, can you please elaborate on this?
Illustrator does now allow to rotate artboards, it can rotate only the view of the canvas. And when it does it, the object surely are rotated with the canvas. So what do you ask for exactly? Can you make a mockup of it maybe, or just explain in different words?AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·
An error occurred while saving the comment Mike, there is a more popular request about the same matter (the MOST popular here): https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/19196641-illustrator-rotation-of-the-artboard
Please vote there instead (and use search before posting — but do post! it helps) -

An error occurred while saving the comment Jessica, I was finally be able to look into the file you shared.
The structure inside didn’t really answer what happened, but allows to compare the broken clip groups to the one that survived (the one at the top, with the red tie).Take a look at the first image attached.
The tree on the left is the survived one, the one on the right is broken.
Both are quite messy and strange, but the one on the right is just 'Group', and the clipping group inside has nothing in it but the mask.I ahve my guess on why this happened technically, but to prove it I’d need to take a look at the tree like this for the object BEFORE the file get saved and reopened — Ai seems to change the order of objects in clipping groups.
But you can avoid this problem in the first place, if you do these simpler, with no duplicates — take a look at the .ai file attached and the second image. All you need to do is a single path (with a stroke applied to it) and the clipped image.
Take a look at these and comment back, please.
An error occurred while saving the comment Jessica, can you reproduce this in a fresh new file? Or perhaps share this one, please?
I try to reproduce this behavior and I can’t. -

The next time this happens, bundle the file with the full OS and GPU details and send it over to sharewithai@adobe.com, along with screenshots and video.

Also please attach that screenshot you made right in the email.
Hmm. Can you share a screenshot of your setup and explain it further?
Not sure I get why you do it and how you do it.
