The search bar in the top right corner is gone and is replaced with a button with a magnifier icon — it now calls the new Discover window.
Please check how you like it now and reply back.Ash supported this idea ·

The most recent version finally has the Object > Distribute menu added.
Now both Align and Distribute commands can be accessed via menu and have assigned keyboards shortcuts to them.
The order of the commands though seemingly matches the one the panel has: horizontal first for Align and vertical first for Distribute. If you find this odd and want to change it — vote here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/45855823-sync-the-order-of-align-and-distribute-menu-comman
Also, Align To and Distribute Spacing commands are still missing in top menus, so please keep voting here to make them added too.

The refined feature is enabled back in AI Beta build 28.2.26.
The Enclosed mode for Selection tool marquee now allows to use Opt/Alt + marquee to select only the objects that are completely inside the marquee.
The function no longer breaks holding Cmd/Ctrl + Opt/Alt to toggle between Direct and Group Selection tools.
Known limitations, that are going to be addressed in later builds:
1. No cursor or marquee frame visual changes.
2. No option to permanently toggle the mode.
3. No highlight for objects that are to be selected.
4. Works only for Selection tool, but not Direct / Group Selection tools.
Do not worry, the team is aware of these.
Now it’s time to test it!
The team asks you to test the core functionality of it — does it work? Does it break anything? Does it select the things it is expected to select? Please go on…

Hi Everyone,
This has been completed, and has available since June 2020 release (version 24.2)
Please go to Illustrator preferences > General > and select “Show/Hide Rulers” (refer attached screenshot). After checking this, if you hit ‘Show Rulers (Ctrl/Cmd + R)’, then the rulers will appear in every document (new and old), even after relaunching Illustrator.
Please update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback.

Done in version 26 (2022). You can now use Tab and Shift+Tab to cycle focus while renaming layers and artboards (but not assets yet — vote to make it happen, https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/31567951). Yay!
Please comment here if you have any issues with how it works).Ash supported this idea ·
