Thanks for reporting this issue. Illustrator team really appreciate this.
We have fixed this bug in our Beta Builds available on CCD. Please try and provide your feedback.
The fix will be pushed in the next stable release.
The current workaround is to disable Missing Glyph Protection option in Preferences > Type.
Thanks and regards

Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ben Green commentedEgor - I think in this case, it's why it would be an option, as not all would need it. I'm not sure in my use of Artboards why you would have objects spanning multiple boards (except for large format printing?!) but in which which case you wouldn't need to make them 'non-print'.
The default would be to print, with the option to disable any print in the Artboard prefs, or a check button on the Artboard list? Would be a simple application if it can be done already with Layers?
It's just easier than remembering numbers before you export or print.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ben Green commentedHi - it would be super-handy to have a preference in the Artboard settings for 'non-printing/exporting' – I often have multiple boards, and some are for sketches for a design, and don't want those to print or save to an export file. It would save the hassle of having to manually see which number artboard I want to omit, or having to save a new file and delete them. Thanks!

Swatch libraries can be made persistent via their panel’s menu. Look into comments for details.

That has saved me no end of frustration. Would still be handy to save in the Workspace for different palattes, but this is certainly a fix for me!

An error occurred while saving the comment Ben Green commentedNot found one yet – was waiting for Esko to update (haven't checked for a while). They said they're eating for Adobe to make Illustrator M1 native.
I've had to install on an Intel Mac for the time being!

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!
An error occurred while saving the comment Ben Green commentedMine will also crash if I select an object with a gradient and then try to change to a solid colour in the palate.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ben Green commentedI'm getting the same 'Can't finish previewing' error randomly - seems to be happening when I have a tiff or jpeg image within the artwork?
Also, after while I get a weird flashing white border around my rulers which will only go if I quit re-open Illustrator.

Have updated in the past few days (to 29.1) and am finding fonts are reverting to previously used ones when editing text. It can be a new string of text or an existing one, but it's happening when selecting all type to amend, or even when the cursor is in the middle of two characters of another font. Really irritating!
