This issue is probably happening because the artboard dimensions are not appropriate for raster export (i.e. are in decimals).
If you make x and y values as the whole numbers in the transform panel (not in decimal), then the extra pixels will not be added to the exported image. That is the workaround, and it’s reported that it’s not always the case.
At the same time — Ai knows the size of artboards to be exported and yet it does not deliver the set sizes, which is not fair. The team is going to rethink the algorithm.

Hi,
The attached screenshot displays the FILL color underneath the CHARACTERS in the APPEARANCE panel therefore any change applied to the FILL will not be displayed, to display it correctly please move the FILL color row on top of the CHARACTER row (Click & Drag) in the Appearance panel.
Hope this helps to resolve this issue.
With Best Regards,

Illustrator CC 2019Whenever I try to export an artboard as a TIFF using "Export As", I get the ubiquitous, yet EXTREMELY vague error message, "An Unknown Error Has Caused the Operation to Fail" a couple of seconds after Illustrator starts to process the image (progress bars gets about 25% of the way).
Now, the weird part is that I have no problem exporting the same artboard as a PNG or JPG using the same "Export As' option.
And before you ask, yes I uninstalled and then reinstalled Illustrator but it's still having the same issue.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedAnother related issue to this is that when this bounding box starts disappearing, when I click on layers in the layers panel I can select multiple layers but just clicking on each one. This IS NOT the normal behavior. Usually, I have to hold down Shift and click on each later to have them all selected at the same time.

Anonymous supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedMe too. Only this worse for me is that my bounding box suddenly will appear on another random object, even on another artboard. Very annoying. I'm on 2014 iMac with Mojave running.

Scaling of GRAPH object using bounding box or transform panel is not allowed in earlier versions also.
Therefore I am moving the thread to Feature Request.Workaround: Using the menu Object >> Transform the Graph object can be transformed.
Thanks & Regards,

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedBased on the image you posted, it looks like you have the Direct Tool selected (renders anchor points when you do this). The bounding box only appears when using the regular Selection Tool (black arrow).
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI'm having the same issue. Illustrator works fine for a couple of hours and then the bounding boxes start disappearing, or odder yet, I select one object and it has no bounding box while another element gets selected on its own with it's own bounding box. In other words, 2 objects are selected at the same time by just clicking on one. ???
And sorry I keep coming up Anonymous. I've logged in but it's not recognizing my username for some reason.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI'm having the same issue. Primary when working with point-type text and try to scale it using the bounding box. Only, my bounding boxes will disappear from said text and be applied to some other random element (even on another artboard). So when I go to scale the text some other element on some other artboard is what gets scaled. NOT the original text. Super annoying and the only temp fix is the hide the bounding box and then showing it again. Other fix is to quit and restart Illustrator

If this problem is still an issue, it’d be necessary to provide a test file, full OS and hardware specs, including GPU and the driver, so that the team can try to reproduce it.

When I use "Export for Screens" export option to batch-export artboards many of the resulting JPGs are a pixel larger vertically and/or horizontally that the artboard dimensions within Illustrator. For example I exported a dozen images with artboard sizes of 1200px wide and 1200px high. After exporting the resulting JPGs have a dimension of 1201px wide and/or high. This only happens on some of the exported files and only some of those are effected vertically and horizontally.
