Illustrator home version
I used Illustrator for years while I was a student but I'm no longer in school and didn't end up in graphic design. However, I still use illustrator for a number of personal projects. It doesn't make sense for me to pay for a subscription in order to use it a few times a year. Wouldn't it be possible to pull the existing coding for just the basics, like shapes, bezier, color, alignment and text and create a home version? For a flat fee, one-time purchase?

A4 Size Error
Since the latest update, the size of a new document is showing more digits after the comma, which results in the wrong size of the A4 format. Instead of 210 x 297 mm it shows 210.0016 x 297.0001 mm. Please fix this.

File transfer time via CC too long !!
The process to synchronize files on the Creative Cloud is not practical for small bandwidths.
It is painful to sometimes wait several hours for file synchronization on the CC
I would like to choose among several files the one that I would like to synchronize in priority.

Comprehensive Design Theme
An comprehensive theme which contains a preset colors for all type of projects, along with selective fonts for specific client/brand.
This feature can be used across all apps and will be adapted automatically.

Disable scale stroke on placed CC files
We would like to have the option to disable the scaling of stroke in placed (linked) CC library files. Ie. if we scale the placed file 200% the stroke of the object in the file stays at 1pt instead of increasing to 2pt.
We have a CC library with a large component library with various electronic and mechanical components. These components should always look exactly the same, but sometimes they need to be scaled. Open file from windows explorer with Illustrator while minimised
When in Windows 10 and I have a explorer window open from doing an import into another app Eg. InDesign and then while having the file list open then right clicking on a file to open with Illustrator I get a window too small error (if illustrator currently has been minimised in some way. It would be nice if this file open with illustrator could open the app window bigger so that it could display the file for editing.

Show linked files from Illustrator files in Bridge
It works for Photoshop and InDesign files, why not for Illustrator ones? All of them are built on the XMP platform.

File versioning...
This would probably be quite an undertaking to add, but it would be awesome if you could add versioning to AI files - the ability to save "states" or different versions of a file, using diff internally to minimize file size.

Mobile of this website has no linkback to other softwares
I suspect this to be the case with the other softwares as well.

Editable Brushes - Be able to change the art of the brush not just the settings.
When you make a brush using selected art currently you can only edit parameters about that brush. You cannot make edits to the art that is at the core of the brush. It would be great if you could edit that art. Like how you can edit the objects that make up a symbol.
Right now the only solution is to just make a new brush if you need to change the art.

Allow workspace saved setting to honor position of multi monitor settings
Currently workspace needs to be reset on each startup to correct position of saved workspace.

Search filed is focused by itself
Every time I go back into Illustrator, the current version, my cursor automatically appears in the search area in the upper right hand corner. This was never the case in the past. This is problematic because, when I go back into Illustrator, I may want to select a tool or paste an object and unless I click on the artboard first, it pastes into the search window. Just one more simple glitchy thing that SLOWS DOWN WORKFLOW!

Chinese Fonts
Can Chinese fonts have a second "english" identifier associated with it in Illustrator and Photoshop. Per our client, we're using a very specific typeface to translate an english document into Chinese. In this case it's Source Han Sans CN.
While it displays fine in ID, it was nearly impossible to locate in PD and AI

Stop making new features the default.
It's really annoying that you introduce a new feature that works in a different way to how it's been for years and then you make it the default. It seems like a bug or something's not working. Then we go online and google it and find out it's a new thing and to add insult to injury it's the default and we can't default it back to the old way, that we use a hundred times a day.
The dynamic symbol is a great example of that. People have been complaining about it since 2017 and still the default.1 vote -

please add extended wordcount
I need to count the number of words in a complicated diagram with a lot of text boxes.
Grant proposals require a maximum number of words and they also count the number of words in graphs and illustrations. So please just tell me how many words are in a document so I don't have to select and copy paste hundreds of words out of textboxes into a wordcounter (or Indesign). That would be great in the future. This is tw also not possible in Indesign because you need to select the text to get a count, whereas I need to…

Hybrid Outline View
It would be useful to have a hybrid outline view that combines both Preview and Outline modes. This would be useful in manipulating objects that are hard to see or have no color (for example bounding boxes without a fill or stroke) without needing to switch views.
