Preferences did not copy from previous Ai version to Ai 2025
The recent Illustrator update did not copy all the our previous settings & preferences. So we need to manually do it again. Previous versions doesn't have this issue? The only reason why we update is because our clients are using the latest Ai, but after update, preferences need to MANUALLY RE-DO! Why it keeps on happening! We are a 24/7 company. My goodness! Adobe!

Explode Command
There's a command in Autodesk 3ds max called "explode", it will ungroup a group of elements and all sub-groups under it, so if there's a group that includes multiple levels of sub-groups, they will all explode to individual elements or objects, would love to see that in Illustrator and Photoshop

More templates for phones
Would be great to have consideration of other mobile phone devices on market, not just focusing on Apple. Or remove the Apple phones & just have the sizes on handsets.

Remove the requirement for an application frame for multiple monitors
I don't use the application frame, as it is less productive. Please remove the requirement to use an application frame for multiple monitors. There is NO technical reason why I can't simply drag a document from one monitor to another.

文字プロパティの「さらに検索」の言語表示を改善
文字プロパティの「さらに検索」で母国語以外の他言語が上位表示される仕様になっている。
日本ユーザーの場合、韓国語が上位表示されており、利便性に欠けるとともに、ローカライズが出来ていない状態といえる。
ユーザーの母国語を最優先に表示する仕様に改善すべきと考える。

Having '.2' at the end of a filename makes Save As dialog drop actual file type when saving
I need to save multiple Files withe Pos.1, Pos.2, Pos.3 etc.. Every time i want to save a file with the filename ".2" at the end wil not save the file.. In the Explorer will be the file but in a unreadable file type.
1 voteIt turns out some application added '.2' as a file type, and Ai had to comply with it when auto-completing file names in OS-managed dialog.
Follow the solution in the comments if you have a similar problem.

Warn about text elements in a document
Greetings, team. I have a suggestion to enhance your fantastic design software. I frequently work with tiny text elements in my vector art designs for textile sublimation. The challenge lies in the sheer volume of items I create daily, each with various sizes and variations. Sometimes, I inadvertently include text within the art, only to notice it after printing. To address this, I propose the creation of a 'guide text' feature. This text could be visible during the design process but excluded from the final print. Alternatively, a warning could be implemented to alert users when text is present within the art. Thank you for considering my suggestion

透明分割を分割統合すると、レイヤーの位置が変わる
あるレイヤーを、添付画像の設定で「透明分割を分割統合」すると、レイヤーウインドウの中のレイヤーの位置が、一番上に来てしまうエラーがあります。
いちいちレイヤーを元の位置に戻さなくてはならないのが面倒くさいです。

PDFs in Libraries: Why I can't edit them?
In Libraries:
.AI files are editable with a ctrl-click > Edit
.PDF are not.Please allow PDF files to be open in Adobe Illustrator.

Change how lock and hide work
Сan you adjust how hiding layers vs locking layers works?
Lock should prevent edits of any kind.
Hide should allow edits if the master group or layer are adjusted.
Example: Character Animator makes us hide Illustrator layers for various poses, mouths, etc. All the mouths are in a head group. If I move a head group with hidden layers, those layers don't move with the group. They should move. They should just not be seen while doing it because they are not locked.
If hide works this way, can you explain the difference between lock and hide?
I find this to be a big oversight.

Comment finder
Sometimes a small markup from a client on a busy page is hard to find. I'd like to see a function that dims the entire document and highlights the markup when you click on a comment in the comment panel. And even better if the page could also zoom into the markup and put it center screen when you click on the comment in the comment panel.

Gen AI Assisted Live Trace
So far, Gen AI in illustrator is just a fresh coat of paint on live trace, a raster query and then just live trace.
Where it would help immensely, is if you could direct AI to clean up live trace results.
My use case is I'm doing a lofi photo trace, of a contrasted, shaded image, white over red. By default, the edges of the white area are noisy and Illustrator adds several shades for this area. What I'd like to be able to do is prompt AI to "simplify white edges" or "trace behind white areas", to enhance the quality of the live trace.
The work around, is that I have to take my source image, create a mask of the white area and expand the shaded fill white area. From here I have to do 3 separate live traces to obtain appropriate results.

Image overlay
It would be nice if there were options to create an image overlay and retain the image's saturation like in photoshop. The current methods I use desaturate the photos in my email and website headers.
