Illustrator Known Issue - Adobe Illustrator crash when run running around 30 minutes on multiple document.
Hello Adobe Team,
There is known issue on Page 13 of the below link
In our process we work around 2000 to 2500 documents in one go. Could you guys address this issue as soon as possible.29 votes
Thanks for reporting this issue, Illustrator team really appreciate this.
We are able to reproduce this issue and it is currently under review.
- Create a document
- Draw a rectangle (just for it to have something inside)
- Save it anywhere as '1.ai'
- Export a, say, TIF, with default settings (these don't really matter) — Ai will offer '1.tif' name for the file exported
- Save this document as '2.ai'
- Export another TIF — Ail will use '1.tif' name, although the file is now '2.ai'
This is wrong. Ai should adapt the name from the file actual name and not the original one.
Thanks for reporting this issue.
We are able to reproduce it in house and investigating it further.
MacOS Mojave 10.14.6
Illustrator CC 2019
- rename the attached .txt file to .svg and import the SVG file into Illustrator.
expected result: Illustrator should display a line with an arrow at the end.
actual result: Illustrator displays only the arrow at the end.
also attached: image of problem behavior.
removing the marker-end attribute from the path in question will display the line.17 votes
Thanks for reporting the issue, we are working on this.
With Best Regards,
The latest updates to Illustrator (21.0.1) seems to have removed the all-important encoding tag required by browsers to render SVG appropriately when embedding etc. in an html page.
It exports the svg without this tag at the beginning of the file.

When saving a PDF copy of a file with cropmarks to a network share a temporary string such as "ai157536670945_" is prepended to the filename in the page info/slug in the cropmark area.

Thanks for sharing the details.
We are now able to reproduce the issue.
The team will be looking into the problem.
Thank you for the feedback.
Meta data defined in a svg file are ignored by AI when opening file so no more available once the file is saved. Option shall allow keep or ignore meta data in an svg file to avoid broking the file.

Thanks a lot for sharing the attached file and opening this feature request. We are currently reviewing this SVG round-tripping request.
Previously when saving eps files, the "Title" information embedded within the file would be the filename. It appears that with version 24.2 the eps title information defaults to "Adobe Illustrator Artwork". Can this be corrected back to the filename? Our RIP uses this title information and now all our files are being processed with the same name.1 vote
Thanks for reporting this issue.
We are able to reproduce this issue and investigating it further.
Hi! I met with you at CreativePro conference in Seattle. I would like to see more control when exporting svg from Illustrator. More specifically, the ability to remove the title tag when exporting. If not, that's ok, the svgomg site cleans up svg code well. Thank you!1 vote
Thanks a lot for reporting the issue here. We are currently looking into when we write add the title element and when we don’t.
For more context: The problem you mentioned at CPro was the tool tip that shows up when hovering the mouse above an -embedded SVG document.
- Don't see your idea?
