Takes about 15 minutes to open/unfreeze Since the last update 22.1 it takes about 15 minutes to open...
I get a white frozen screen for an average of 15 minutes with just the contour of the app...and than it open nomally.My system:
Windows 10 Pro

Illustrator 22.1 hangs on start; reinstall only fix I can find I have a late 2013 Mac Pro, running OS 10.13.5. This problem started about 2 months ago for no apparent reason. When I'm done with Illustrator for the day, I'll quit the application. It may be a couple of days before I have to re-enter illustrator. Most of the time this works, but now, randomly, upon clicking on the application on the launch bar, the splash screen comes up and then the app appears to load, but no start window appears. The illustrator menu bar is there, but is grayed out and you can mouse over the menu bar options…

Missing Layers Opened my document this morning and all the correct layers were there, closed out because I made no changes so there was nothing to save. reopened my document again all my layers were gone! only showing the orginal base image. Help

Illustrator 'unexpected' quitting Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 quit unexpectedly while launching or working in between very often for many iMacs. Please help me to resolve this.

I do have one suggestion – please reset preferences and try again. Found the following in your crash report.

New document causes crash When starting a new document, the first thing that Illustrator does is crash. Doesn't matter what the size of the document is.

separator preview everytime I open CC2018 I get a dialog box where I need to disable the "separator preview" plug-in

Startup performance Illustrator has always been sluggish on startup, but 27 seconds on a recent SSD MBP is totally unacceptable IMO.
Thoughts anyone?
By comparison PS is ready to go in 7sec.
Standard install CC 2018 / Il 22 on MacOS 10.13.1
3 votesOur typical launch numbers on a SSD MBP is around 6-7 seconds hence we would like to understand more about the issue and problem.

Error message while launching Illustrator CC 2018 This message in German occurs while launching Illustrator 2018. After saying OK, a fragmentary Applikation displays, which is not operational. It is completely buggy and blocks even Finder until it is being quit.
"This process can't be completed, because an unknown message has occurred. [CANT]"

Illustrator opening as trial and not recognizing current subscription when opening illustrator from CC app manager or directly from start menu,
illustrator does not allow to open full version even though I have pro subscription. There is a button to buy now but that just takes me to purchase an additional subscription which I'm paid up for. Illustrator freezes all the time I am not able to use Illustrator at all. I have updated to the 2018 version. Every time I want to create new project or open existing one the program freezes. No matter if I have GPU Performance option on or off.

Illustrator 22.0.1 not opening in High Sierra I (foolishly) updated to High Sierra last night. Now Illustrator won't open. Clicking on the icon, all I get is this:

Optimize Illustrator I've already optimized Illustrator for my graphics card. I keep getting the notification for it, even though I've done it.
I could turn off the notification, but I'd rather get important Adobe update news.
Can the message be automatically deactivated if we've already optimized?

Error loading plugins. TorqExtension.aip I get two errors when I first open up Illustrator. This is the second one I receive. It appears every time I open Illustrator CC 2018. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator from Creative Cloud, but it still appears on startup. I'm on a Windows 7 64-bit machine as well.

AIGPUSniffer quit unexpectedly. Adobe Illustrator CC 2018
When trying to open Ai files through Bridge, I get this error:
'AIGPUSniffer quit unexpectedly.'
and the file fails to open. I don't experience this issue when opening the same file through finder or through the 'Open' dialog box.

AI 18 won't launch I upgraded to the new AI18 from CC and it fails to launch on startup. It fails at the point it is initializing the plug-ins. I am using a Surface Pro 2 with Windows 10. AI17 worked fine and reinstalled and it still works. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

"CANT" ERROR Have updated to newest version of Illustrator and now get this warning on launch. Program does open but with no preset preferences available.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but there is no improvement.
