  1. Snap to Grid status doesn't save with the document

Most document preferences seem to persist between sessions, but Snap to Grid turns itself off. I can reproduce this consistently:

    1. Enable snapping, snap to grid, and grid view.
    2. Close the document to save and quit Illustrator.
    3. Reopen the document. Snap to Grid will appear checked in the preferences, but points and artwork don't actually snap.
    4. Turning snapping off and on again will show Snap to Grid checkbox as being unchecked. Smart Guides remains checked when you do this, which makes me think this is a bug.

  4. Snap to grid isn’t working

It’s difficult to precisely place anything. When snap to grid is on, I don’t understand what my points are snapping to, because I can’t get it to align with the grid I’ve set up in the settings. When turning off all snapping to grid features, I still cannot freely place anything and my objects are still snapping to something.

  5. Internal snapping tolerance for positioning objects is way too high and can’t be changed

There seems to be a default 'snapping' that is hard-coded. With all snapping and guides turned off under "precision" I still cannot move an object with as much fluid precision as I can on the desktop version w/o snapping turned on.

I also cannot determine a way to select an object and then drag it by a single point to a single point of another object to 'snap' the points together as is possible on the desktop version.
