Font activation problem
Have problem with loading fonts. It happens to few installed fonts and adobe cc fonts. Not whole but quite lots of fonts have this problem. Think it happens after the update to 1.1.

So there’s literally no solution to this? I can’t work with this then. Affinity designer 2 is here lads, and I’m having no problems loading fonts there. So, maybe design the logo on illustrator and do the typography in Affinity design 2.
Cheers.

This happened to me as well. I’ve spent a couple hours trying to fix it. I tried restarting, deleting and reinstalling the app, among other things nothing has worked.

I’m in the same boat. I installed a font that’s approved by my client; it works in Photshop for iPad, but not in Illustrator. I restarted my iPad, deleted and reinstalled Creative Cloud and Illustrator for iPad. Still no success.

I have something of a resolution for this, but it's not a good one:
Adobe tech support had me *uninstall* the font from my iPad. Once it was uninstalled there it began to work again in Illustrator. So it seems that you cannot use Adobe fonts in other applications on iPad if you also want to use them on Illustrator. For me too, they worked for a few weeks and abruptly stopped working sometime in November so I suspect it was an update (not sure if Apple or Adobe) that causes the issue. Hopefully resolved soon.

Is there a solution to this yet? Currently rendering my new iPad Pro pretty useless. I’m not sure if this is to do with an IOS security update, but the fonts worked a couple of weeks ago and now the majority of them are unusable

Same issue here. Font does come up in other apps. So, I know it is installed. This is kinda important since it is the main font for my brand identity.

Same thing is happening to me this past week. I understand this is a new app and translating all of the great features from desktop to iPad will take some time but I really hope this can happen soon. It’s almost unusable for 99% of design work at this point, especially with this type issue.

When I install a font synchronized by Adobe Font with the Creative Cloud App on my iPad, it appears in the font list in Illustrator on my iPad, but when I actually type the text, it appears blank. (If the synchronized font is not installed, the normal font will be applied in the iPad Illustrator.

Update: was able to get the file open in desktop illustrator and the content is there. So this must be a font loading issue of some kind on the iPad.

Curious.... under v1.1 I’m seeing the text in my document is missing, but the font settings are preserved. Is that what you are seeing?

Illustrator updated to v1.1 today and it hosed my files. It looks like the *content* of all the text layers is gone. They layers themselves are there and the font settings are preserved, but the actual letters and words appear to have been deleted. I’ve been overlooking painfully slow performance and losses due to frequent crashing, but this is just unacceptable.
On further look, this appears to have something to do with fonts loaded via profiles or CC.
Also don’t see a way to revert files made with the iPad version of illustrator :-(
