1. Dimension tool, unable to choose a Spot color. v 28.1

   So updated to Illustrator v 28.1. And with it came the blessing of the Dimension tool, however I've notices some irregularities with the settings.
   Not sure if intended or not.

   Regarding the selection of color, depending if you open the Dimension tool settings by double-clicking on the tool or via the "cogwheel" you get different functions.

   1. Double-click you can select a spot color as the ink/color used for the measurements, for example using an custom color "measurement".

   2. If you instead go to the settings through the "cogwheel" of the tool the option for selecting a spot color (färgrutor) is grayed out.

   See attached image of these two settings windows, in Swedish but layout the same.

   Not sure if it's intentional or some bug.

2. Dot Grid no longer working in Illustrator 27.8.1

3. Type on Path Tool is not keeping text on path

   The text is suppose to round the circle with the globe inside, instead it is scattered across the design. I have had to correct this on two separate files today.

   The Generative Recolor option is not included in the Beta release, only in the current stable one.

8. Keep Real size when applying Substance to a Shape

   Could it be possible to keep the physcal scale of a substance (when given as metadata) In some case it's mandatory to in industrial/fashion design to use the actual size of a material to be alligned to the shape's geometry.

9. Illustrator não cola adequadamente o que eu copio

   Olá a todos! Meu problema é um pouco similar a um problema que já vi aqui na comunidade, mas há diferenças que faz de meu problema um novo problema. Como não soube pesquisar pelas palavras-chave adequadas para identificar se há algum problema idêntico ao meu, resolvi postar. Aqui vai a explicação.

   Não me recordo ao certo quando esse problema aconteceu, foi de repente. Um bug no meu Illustrator impede que eu copie textos e cole com a formatação adequada. Isso não ocorre somente com textos, mas com imagens e elementos agrupados também. Ressaltando que isso ocorre na última versão do Illustrator. Já reinstalei e baixei versões obsoletas, a mesma coisa acontece. Na primeira imagem, copiei o texto, que possui um tamanho de 40px e borda de 9pt, e colei. Observe que o texto foi colado com tamanho, fonte e ainda adicionou um símbolo no final. Na imagem 2, apliquei uma cor diferente, e ao colar, colou com as propriedades adequadas. Na imagem 3, copiei alguns elementos agrupados de um documento e colei em um novo documento, o Illutrator colou uma caixa de texto com alguns número aleatórios (coloquei o elemento original ao lado da caixa de texto pra fins de ilustração). Esse não é o único problema. Quando aperto Ctrl + C e Ctrl + D, o Illustrator não cola o elemento no mesmo lugar, como colava antes, mesmo apertando Ctrl + Shift + V (a imagem 4 mostra que pressionei o atalho para colar na mesma posição, mas o elemento foi colado para outra localidade. Às vezes, o Illutrator cola para uma posição ainda mais distante).

   Esses são os problemas que tenho enfrentado ultimamente. São problemas muito chatos que estão tirando um pouco da minha praticidade e precisava de algum apoio de como eu poderia prosseguir para resolver os problemas. Ficaria muito grato se houver alguma solução ou alguma ideia do que poderia ser esses problemas.

11. 하위버전 저장 고정옵션 기능 추가

    안녕하세요
    일러스트나 포토샵에서 ai와 psd 파일을 저장할때 그냥 '저장하기'만해도 원하는 버전으로 옵션선택후 그 뒤로 자동 저장되는 기능을 추가해주세요. '다른이름으로저장'으로 들어가서 저장할 파일의 하위버전 옵션을 일일이 선택하는게 너무 번거롭습니다.

    Only exports the svg with 50% accuracy...

    Often colors are missing, or items are miss positioned...

14. Your program is useless!!!

    It uses extreme amounts of resources?! That slows everything down on my laptop! Takes for ever to respond? Cannot log this problem with a support team or anyone to help? The worst is, this happens on both my wife and my laptop. We loose so much work!! It gets to a point where I am waiting more for illustrator to respond than actually working on it? It hangs, stops and then have to be restarted, usually, design is lost!! Super frustrating and really something you need to look at improving!!

    After upgrading our OS Adobe CC, our entire department is having a display issue in Illustrator and it seems that it’s only when zooming on a large display connected to a MacBook Pro laptop.

    Problem: Either the artboard goes gray or displays in extreme low-resolution. This has been happening on various monitors, including a Dell and LG 5K displays.

    Sometimes the art will display properly in different instances: when selecting the art; when nothing is selected; when zooming or deselecting the art if it was selected when I zoomed. However, it sometimes reverts back to the gray or heavily pixelated display image when the mouse/pointer is moved.

16. Scaling an object with the bounding box using Shift + Selection Tool is acting weird (Illustrator Beta 2025)

    When I hold the Shift key to expand or shrink an object it starts to act weird. Essentially it is not stable.

    It seems like the latest Beta build 29.9.0.36 has it fixed. Please update and check if it works as it should at your side.

17. Smart guides not working

    Operating System: macOS 15.6 (Apple M4 pro), Adobe Illustrator Beta version 29.9
    Smart Guides are turned on, View > Smart Guides is on, but not working
    When moving or aligning objects, no smart guide lines appear.
    Actual result: No smart guides show up at all.
    Additional information:
    I have tried everything:
    Reset Illustrator Preferences
    Enabled/ disabled GPU Performance
    Reinstalled Illustrator
    Restarted Mac
    But Smart Guides still do not work
