Remove Bleed Icon from Artboard
A red "Print Bleed" icon appears in the upper right of a document when bleed is applied. The icon doesn't provide any function other than show a message that it's a bleed. We need a way to turn this off.

Rulers have turned black
Operating system: See DxDiag.txt document
Version Illustrator (Beta) 29.8 28 (64-bit)
I opened Illustrator yesterday to find the rulers have blacked out (see image). I have tried everything I can think of, even uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator but to no avail.
The rulers work just fine on the regular version, the problem only exists on the Beta version.Many thanks David

Pasted items automatically get deselected in Beta 29.5 35
Copy an element and paste it. It should be in a selected state, but it isn't.

However, this build got Shift broken for constraining transformation, so it’d be wise to wait for the next Beta build, where it is reported to be fixed.

Shift Constrain not working
Since update to v29.5.0.35, holding the shift key while resizing an object does not constrain the aspect ratio of the object.
This happens whether "Transform Tools" is checked or unchecked.One exception is if I create a new object using the shape tool. Constraint works for those objects until I alter them, or if I try to resize while another object is selected.
I have reset preferences, restarted Illustrator and the OS.
Illustrator v29.5.0.35

Transform Pattern Tiles option doesn’t work when using Bounding Box
The 29.6.1 build (and the latest Beta build 29.8.0.5) ignores the Transform Pattern Tiles option being enabled when scaling an object using bounding box.
The pattern is rendered as if it’s scaled / rotated while you drag (if Real-Time Drawing and Editing is enabled), but resets back when you release the mouse button / pen.
I use Windows. I tried this with the GA build 29.6.1 and it works fine...

Artboard reference point bug
No matter where the reference point is set (see screenshot), when resizing the artboard Illustrator acts as if it was in the bottom left corner. It started in previous version and persists in v30. In a document with one artboard it's annoying, in a document with 40 artboards it makes work impossible.

No options are visible in the Format Settings dialog for Asset Export in Ai 29
Confirmed environment
Windows 11 24H2
Version 29.8.1 and 29.8.2
English and Japanese EditionIn the Asset Export format settings, the number of items displayed differs from what should normally appear.
This issue does not occur immediately after installation. It reoccurs when Illustrator is closed and reopened, then the settings are displayed via Asset Export.
Temporarily displaying “Export for Screen” from the File menu's Export option restores normal display.
This phenomenon does not occur in 28.7.10.
But, this phenomenon occurs in 30.0.72 Beta.Japanese explanation:
「アセットの書き出し」にある「形式の設定...」で、表示される項目が通常と異なり少なくなってしまいます。
インストール直後に動かした場合には発生しません。Illustratorを一度閉じて再度起動し、アセットの書き出しから設定を表示すると、この問題が発生します。
一時的な回避方法として、ファイルメニューの書き出しオプションから「スクリーン用に書き出し...」でダイアログを一度表示させると正常に表示されます。
（Illustratorを再度終了させて起動すると再発しますので、また同じ手順が必要です）
この現象は 28.7.10 では発生しません。

Preferences require 2x Enter to commit and exit
Focus is in Keyboard Increment in Preferences now, but you have to hit Enter 2x to commit and exit the dialog. Used to be 1x.

The Control bar fill and stroke color option is broken again
The Control bar fill and stroke color option is broken again. The color is changing incorrectly when I select a swatch color or when I am trying to enter values in the color mixer. Also it is changing the color mode incorrectly in the color mixer when starting to enter values, for example when I start entering RGB values it changes the values to CMYK even though the document is RGB. There are many more problems that are adding up. The more Illustrator is trying to create new features the more it is becoming unusable.

Scaling an object with the bounding box using Shift + Selection Tool is acting weird (Illustrator Beta 2025)
When I hold the Shift key to expand or shrink an object it starts to act weird. Essentially it is not stable.

When typing, Shift+R doesn't type a letter
Typing R doesn’t work. I think it's changing to the brush tool?

Illustrator close immediately when zoom in
Hi, I'm working in MacOS Ventura with illustrator Beta 29.8 28; when I try zoom in with the keyboard (Cmd + Space bar), the program close immediately. This happens after I installed the 2 latest patches.
Please fix that!

Smart guides not working
Operating System: macOS 15.6 (Apple M4 pro), Adobe Illustrator Beta version 29.9
Smart Guides are turned on, View > Smart Guides is on, but not working
When moving or aligning objects, no smart guide lines appear.
Actual result: No smart guides show up at all.
Additional information:
I have tried everything:
Reset Illustrator Preferences
Enabled/ disabled GPU Performance
Reinstalled Illustrator
Restarted Mac

EPS not rendering correctly in 29.6.1 when double effect is used.
In 29.6.1, I faced a major issue. All those files where an object has double transparency effect - For example
1) Apply MULTIPLY effect (Try applying on a gradient)
2) Group the object with self (CMD + G)
3) Apply SCREEN effectSuch files are not rendering properly in the version mentioned. However version 29.5.1 works as expected.
Please fix this on priority.Cheers!!

Cut and Paste in not working in Illustrator 29.7.1 16 bit
I can cut or copy an object but the object will not paste. This problem occurs via the menu and the keyboard shortcut.

Clicking the locked object with Group Selection tool inside of a group with an effect applied selects the whole group
When you have a locked child in a group with any effect applied (Transform or Drop Shadow or Offset Path...), clicking this locked child with Group Selection tool (not Direct one) selects the whole object — while it is expected to have nothing selected.
Selecting the whole group with Group Selection should work only if you make several clicks on an child object, each click selecting the next parent group.... but here the child is locked, and it should not receive any clicks! Somehow having the effect applied breaks the click detection.This becomes especially painful when the effect is…

Beta Print Bleed has problems with locked layers
In Illustrator Beta when a bleed is applied to an Artboard and then you lock a layer a message pops up saying "Unhide and unlock objects to include them in generative Expand". Once you click OK the message keeps reappearing not allowing you to do anything else.

Illustrator has trouble exporting files to JPEG
Illustrator has trouble exporting files to JPEG. It practically doesn't export them at all. It goes through the entire export process but ultimately fails to export the file. This only affects JPEGs.

"Automatically Save Recovery Data Every X Minutes" doesn't work
my auto save for recovery data is set to 2 minutes, but it rarely even saves reliably every "hour".
this happened again today and this time I lost 3 hours of progress--yes it was my fault, I was swamped from editing multiple projects across multiple apps for a deadline. And, naturally, illustrator crashed again. Like always, it doesn't have the recovery data from minutes ago. Judging from the save state, this time it seemed to have only saved after the "first 2 minutes" upon opening the file, and never again afterwards.
