  1. Text to Vector Graphic (Beta)' is not the Illustrator Beta

    There is no generative ai (text 2 vector) in 28.1 beta

    For some weird unknown reason Adobe decided to NOT include the 'Text to Vector Graphic (Beta)' function to Illustrator Beta. You have to install the actual current release to access it.

    It makes zero sense, but this is how it is done, We had the similar problem with Generative Recolor before, and now it’s the same thing again.

  2. Issue with Ungroup

    Things I would [Group] once would need to be [Ungrouped] for 10x before getting disassembled. This happened after the update, but downgrading my AI version did not resolve the issue.

  3. Multiple files open up in wrong order...

    Not a huge bug, but when opening multiple AI files in windows explorer, the last item selected opens first, then the remainder open in sorted order. For example, shift selecting files 1 through 15 and opening in AI will open up #15 first, then #1, #2, #3.... etc... To get the files to open in the correct order, you have to shift select 2 through 15, and then ctrl-select #1 so it's the last file selected. This doesn't really affect anything other than how tabs are ordered but it is annoying when working on multiple files and expecting the tabs…

  4. Loupe Deck in Illustrator Beta crashed

    When I used Loupe Deck on Windows 11 (newest updates are done) and use any key — Illustrator Beta crashed. In the normal Illustrator I don't have any problems. The newest updates of both are made it. In windows and other programs I don't have a problem like this.

  5. template layer feature doesn't change opacity

    When I turn a layer into a template, it doesn't change opacity, even when I manually change the opacity to a very low value..

  6. BUG - The Contextual Task Bar doesn't appear when you select an individual compound path or compound shape

    I noticed that the new Contextual Task Bar doesn't show up when a single compound path or compound shape is selected. However, if you copy and paste that shape and select both copies, the Contextual Task Bar does show up. It also shows up if you take that single compound shape/path and group it - even though there's only that one single object in the group. This seems to be a flaw.

  9. Mockup Panel Disappeared after crash

    On the new Illustrator Beta 27.10, I was able to open the new Mockup window with the preset mockup categories. While trying to use it, the program crashed. After re-opening Illustrator, the new Mockup panel is no longer under "Windows". Tried restarting computer, still not there.

  11. STEX error when using Beta Mockup Feature

    When I apply new Mockup feature, it shows this: 'The operation cannot complete because of unknown error [STEX]'. I'm disappointed and would like to know how to fix it.

  12. Mockup feature not respecting correct transparency mode

    Using the Mockup feature, object (a logo to be placed on a t-shirt) behaves differently on background vs. human subject. To reduce variables, I actually did a screen grab of the photo (in case there was an issue introduced from exporting an image out of PS Beta). The object maintains its opacity when on the dark back ground wall (see image), but when you bring it onto to ANY area of the human; shirt, face etc. - it appears as if I've changed the setting to MULTIPLY. See attached screen caps. Thx!

  13. MB Pro (2019) 32gb RAM - 2 TB SSD etc. - Beta is continuously crashing with files of any significant size, standard AI runs fine?

    Anybody experiencing consistent crashes with MacBook Pro or similar machine? I can run the same files with ease in the standard version however large or multiple projects open in the beta version continue to lag and then crash. Any ideas? I have disabled all external plug-in, autosave features, etc. - Cloud is in use rarely, however always on 1gb internet speeds. Open to ideas!

  15. Assertion failure on loading a size preset

    Error when loading a preset

    Illustrator Beta 27.3
    Windows 11 latest version

    After starting AI Beta I wanted to load the preset Web-large 1920x1080.
    Right after opening the preset I got the message Debug Assert failed!
    Clicking Debug fixed it.
    It keeps happening.

  18. Beta App Naming Consistency

    I’ve got no clue where to post this as I only see a Prerlease forum for Illustrator and not a Beta forum. Anyways, for the love of Pete, Adobe can you please be consistent in naming your beta apps.
     
    The Photoshop app is named as such. The folder tree: Adobe Photoshop (Beta) > Adobe Photoshop (Beta).app.
     
    But the Illustrator beta app is: Adobe Illustrator (Beta) > Adobe Illustrator.app.
[With no beta in the app name.]
     
    Why do I care? Because some of us on macOS use the Command+P system search to open apps. Doing a search for Illustrator Beta returns…

  19. This is a bug report.

    Illustrator has a BIG problem i mean the user experience is TRASH. if your using illustrator for the first time then you will be COMPLETELY lost and no sane person is gonna watch a 3 hour tutorial on how to use JUST 1 feature on this app. This app has a problem with the tools not working how they were somewhat intended to. I've been using this app for about 7 weeks now and it still hasn't impressed me, the only consistent thing this app does is DISAPPOINT me. Either this app will go down or something needs to change.
