Dear users,
Can you please let us know what is that you cannot do with the existing 'save selection' functionality that you expect to do by grouping objects from different layers?
'Save selection' enables you to combine objects from different layers without having to bring them into one single layer.
To use 'save selection' just select your desired objects and save the selection from the select > save selection menu command or from the bottom of the layers panel.

We have released the support for Gradient swatches in CC library with our latest release - v29.3
You can select the gradient swatch in swatches panel and add it to CC Library through the button on the bottom bar in the panel. You can also select any object which has gradient applied and add that gradient to CC Library through Add Elements from the Libraries panel and choose Fill Gradient from the drop-down menu.
Please update to this version from your Creative Cloud Desktop application and let us know your feedback.

AND, when you dismiss the dialog box, it comes back up too often. (the reason I don't close the presentation document is because it's huge and takes forever to open.)

WebP export support is added in illustrator Beta 27.6.
Please test it to see if it matches your expectations.
There is no information yet about exporting other formats requested. Meanwhile, we can import / place HEIC/HEIF, WebP and AVIF already.

The solution is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.
The team intends to add another command into this menu, allowing to copy the path. That’s it.
This request crucially lacks feedback from all the voters. Please comment back: do it if you don’t like how it works, and do it if you do.

@Kelly Bruce: if only I could install something like that. The company won't even let us go to the app store to browse...

The network is the problem, which has nothing to do with Adobe.
Pull the files down to your local storage. OR, you can turn off auto updates in preferences. Under File Handling. OR you can un-check automatically save cloud docs every... mins, if you're working with cloud docs.
Agreed. Decent workaround, if you're working on a computer, is to make a custom palette. But that doesn't help if you're working on a mobile device. Maybe just create a file saved to your library that has your gradients in boxes and then open and copy/paste into the current document? I don't use libraries much since I don't have to share.
