An error occurred while saving the comment While I agree it should not happen, I wonder why haven't you assigned a custom hotkey to a Trim View command?

An error occurred while saving the comment Looks like a rendering issue of some sort...
1. What happens if you switch to CPU in View menu or disable GPU in Preferences?
2. If it doesn't change anything, van you please send this file over to sharewithai@adobe.com (put the link to this issue in the email's body, https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/45070219), or share it here, if you are allowed or willing to make it public. Perhaps it's a local problem -

Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.
An error occurred while saving the comment K-O, did I? There are many mods here. Perhaps I did, but I see no traces of it and can’t remember I asked something like this. Whatever. I read all the comments here, and this is not why I replied, but because I had the news.
And it only now struck me my last name is similar to another name. Nope, it does not have R in it, but that made me smile :)
An error occurred while saving the comment This is pretty new, Paul, and this is something the UserVoice added. It will definitely help to define the need. But I think this one is pretty well defined already, right? So hit it anyway!
As far as I know (but that's everything I know on this) — it's finally being discussed internally. Yes, after the years. Yes, the backlog is that long :(
Good news is the team wants to compete more of these small but extremely annoying things. We have to many of these here. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I often work with old files containing old versions of fonts, which are not installed on my PC. We now use newer versions.
Names are almost identical, but AI neither propose new one, so I have to locate replacement manually.
I have to scroll this tiny list and search it by eye.
Keyboard typing only scroll to first typed letter.
Please add Search field there. -

An error occurred while saving the comment To access betas, open your Creative Cloud Desktop application and search the left column for 'Beta apps', with a flask of chemicals icon next to it. It is usually placed below 'Acrobat and PDF' item.
An error occurred while saving the comment John, it does not crash in the latest Beta. Do you have access to it? Can you verify this, please?
An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, it does crash for me also. Reports sent.
Thanks for catching this.An error occurred while saving the comment John, any artwork or a specific one?
Can you share the parameters you use and the file, here (if you are allowed to, and want to share it publicly) or via sharewithai@adobe.com? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Shannon, I can import the file alright.
Do you by any chance keep this file in a cloud-managed folder? Does the issue stay after you restart the computer? -

An error occurred while saving the comment James, I can’t reproduce it with Trajan Pro 3. It looks just fine (except for loosing a fill if I try to create a compound path directly from the outlined group).
Can you please share some screenshots and the output files, along with the settings used? Which method did you use, Export As or Save As, or Export for Screens?
If the files are sensitive and you are not allowed to share them publicly, you can send them over sharewithai@adobe.com

An error occurred while saving the comment I confirm .ai document does get placed in InD without vertical lines of text.
Also, when I try to resave it, to the same .ai, the problem gets eliminated, it gets placed just fine... interesting. An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, a typo from me, sorry.
The correct address is sharewithai@adobe.com
Anyway, I'm seeing the files, thanks, will try to replicate. An error occurred while saving the comment I'm afraid the team won’t be able to say anything without the file on their hands... Can you please send it over to sharewithai@adobe.com?

It turns out the folder is managed by Google Drive, and it restored a previous version for some reason.
If you had problems like this too — please comment.
An error occurred while saving the comment Well, it 'solves' it, but not really. What really happens is a mystery. At least you got your data restored!
I must admit I had problems with saving into Drive’s managed folder before, but not like this one, my files were just locked for some time.
If it continues with other files, I think you should try to contact Google :/ Tough! Good luck.
An error occurred while saving the comment So it feels like for some reason GDrive prevented the file from been properly written... or restored the original version. Or not.
Can you look up the other version of this file at https://drive.google.com? Right-click the document and try Version Control.
An error occurred while saving the comment Oh, this is disastrous.
Never had anything like this.
1. Is the document a local file, or a cloud document?
2. If it’s local — is it kept in a plain folder, and not in a any cloud-managed one?
3. What do the dates show, about creation and modification?
Let's try to figure this out, starting with Photoshop.
This place is not for Photoshop's issues, but Illustrator only (the correct one would be https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem/ct-p/ct-photoshop) — but I personally can comment on that.
You can still save JPGs in Photoshop if you wish. First, you can access the format by using 'Save a Copy' command inserted of 'Save As'. Then, you can go to preferences and revert the behavior (more or less).
The detailed explanation why Adobe had to do this can be read here: https://petapixel.com/2021/05/18/photoshops-save-as-function-has-changed-on-mac-heres-why/
About Illustrator — sorry, I don't get it fully. Does it reset the current workspace for you every time you start Illustrator? Or on every update?
What about three point thing and a wheel?
