Can't Access a Saved File from a folder in Google Drive
The Issue:
I saved an illustrator file then closed the program. After some days, I reopened the program. I could see the preview thumbnail showing my latest edit but when I clicked on it to open, it went back to a much earlier version of the file. This has now happened twice. Please help if you have solved this successfully.
Details:
Illustrator 26.2.1 (64-bit)
OS: Windows 10
RAM: 12GB
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6600U CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.81 GHz
It turns out the folder is managed by Google Drive, and it restored a previous version for some reason.
If you had problems like this too — please comment.

Well, it 'solves' it, but not really. What really happens is a mystery. At least you got your data restored!
I must admit I had problems with saving into Drive’s managed folder before, but not like this one, my files were just locked for some time.
If it continues with other files, I think you should try to contact Google :/ Tough! Good luck.

Yes! That's it. Looks like Google Drive is the problem.

So it feels like for some reason GDrive prevented the file from been properly written... or restored the original version. Or not.
Can you look up the other version of this file at https://drive.google.com? Right-click the document and try Version Control.

Hello Egor,
The document is saved in a synched Google Drive Folder for collaboration purposes.I just realized something peculiar with the date: The last modification date is the date I created the version it opens (April 4). For some reason, it did not record the last version which I saved (April 14).
On illustrator's homepage, the time changes every time I open it. It still shows the April 14th thumbnail on the homepage but brings the April 4th version when it is open.

Oh, this is disastrous.
Never had anything like this.
1. Is the document a local file, or a cloud document?
2. If it’s local — is it kept in a plain folder, and not in a any cloud-managed one?
3. What do the dates show, about creation and modification?
