An error occurred while saving the comment I agree, happens all the time, the cursor must be placed inside of em-box to be able to select. And when you have 120% leading by default, you get this tiny strip of 'false trigger' area, you really wouldn’t need to create new area type object. If you increase leading, you would get even more of this space. I wonder if anyone creates new text overlapping the old?
An error occurred while saving the comment Nice report!
I also noticed this, but quickly got used to it.
It's sad some people suffer from new approach, but it was highly probable, as always is with dropping old behavior.
I would try both solutions simultaneously. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, Mike, this is what happens.
After launch, when you select several objects, Align to Selection is activated. But once it’s switched manually to Align to Artboard, it sticks and stays like it...So, what do you think is a bug here?
I mean, how do you think it should work and why?
This is a painful question :) -

An error occurred while saving the comment Stephen, it does work alright for me!
If it does not for you — can you share the file where using Type > Create Outlines does not work when you try to outline a clipped text? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Sean, you can do that in the Layers panel, where a document structure is presented as a tree and a range between two points has a meaning...
But a canvas has two dimensions.
How do you want Ai to treat ambiguous cases? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Interesting. It does work OK for me, both for changing strokes or tints... But the case sounds and looks familiar, as if I had this at least once.
Is this still an issue in the latest release? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Moises, can you provide the file itself to test?
Ambrose, why don’t you change the Number Format in your spreadsheet before copying it? Both Excel and Google Sheets allow to reformat your values so that commas are not created.
I agree that Illustrator will benefit from having its own filter, but the workaround exists.
